Picked this hotel for what appears to be a beautiful pool was unable to use it as it was 'closed for an event' for 6 hours. Really disappointed I would have stayed at the Omni if they had told me.

The bathroom door would not stay open unless you put a trash can in front of it. There was also a crack in the bathroom door when you closed it fully. The key access on the door was broken. In general, for the price, I was surprised that the property was not more luxurious. They did offer us free water and a free IP beer upon check in. We also got two free drinks in the bar.

Waste of time & money

This Kimpton is listed as a 4.5 star hotel & that is very incorrect. It is a 3 star at best. It is in what seems like an unsafe area that is crawling with unsavory characters at night & very loud street life on the weekends. Pretty sure there was a parade of motorcycles each night for hours on end. Well actually there was. I finally got up at 2 am to look out of the window & loud motorcycles were everywhere revving their engines relentlessly. The cleanliness is average I guess. There was a smell so it felt a little dirty. There is no in-room dining for breakfast or lunch. I ordered dinner the 1st night & they brought me someone else's food order & when I did get my food, it was not good. I ordered uber eats the next morning for breakfast & I never received it but 4 hours later the front desk called me to tell me that they had my order there the whole time & asked me if I still wanted it... I replied "yes" & ate a cold breakfast for lunch. The 2nd night of my business trip I ordered in- room dining so I could continue to work & the food was bad so I just went to bed hungry... I've stayed at Kimpton's before & had wonderful experiences but Kimpton Pittman Hotel is one that I will never return to. It really felt like a waste of money.

Lots of nice amenities like free wine in the lobby, infused water, dog treats, umbrellas, scooters and bikes. The staff isn't excellent but the hotel is very nice. Beautiful room, comfortable stay.

Love it here!

This hotel was chic and unique. We were greeted with wine and chicken tenders upon arrival (their complimentary happy hr). They are central to everything downtown. I would stay here again, no hesitation!

Amazing Hotel - Valet Not So Much

This is a great hotel located in Deep Ellum. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Our only complaint was parking/valet. I wish we could self park as it took an extraordinary long time to retrieve our car from valet. We were told our car would be ready in 5 minutes but it was almost 30 before it arrived.

There is a club right next to the hotel. The music and cars outside kept us up all night. People being loud, cars blowing horns. We also didn’t feel safe walking around the area. The whole weekend, every night was sirens from cops or ambulances. Would not recommend this hotel.

Room was great, Staff was excellent, bartender terrific. It's next to Deep ellum so loud but it's also right next to Komodo (lots of commotion )and the traffic in the front is absolutely terrible, especially on the weekends.

Staff of the hotel are very nice and mostly helpful (we were charged twice and they said they fixed it but still waiting on the refund), however the restaurant staff are horrible. You can’t understand them, they run around but get nothing done, and you have to wait as they slowly bring one item at a time. As for the hotel, it’s not very clean; our side tables had tons of sticky water marks from glasses, it clearly hadn’t been cleaned at all. The bathroom had hairs stuck to the walls, and the cleaning lady never came twice in a town. We had to call and request it although they are supposed to come daily.When she did come she Was there for such a short time, I’m not really sure she did more than make the bed. The area of Deep Ellum is sketchy as hell. We saw multiple drugged out people fighting with cops and our 1 year old almost got run over by a person blowing a red light. I wouldn’t recommend going out after dark, and even during the day you have to dodge homeless drug addicts begging for money. I’ve unfortunately had to stay here three times now since my company pays for it, but I can’t in good conscience recommend this place at all.
