The Congress is a very welcome change from where we have been staying in Chicago for some time now. The staff was very nice and the room, but that’s tall ceilings and it also look to be freshly made over, was a very welcome change from where we used to stay. Highly recommend, excellent location right downtown the next time we visit Chicago, we have found a new home.

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms really need updating though. The climate control is non existent. The bathrooms definitely need improvement. The common areas and lobby are beautiful and the staff is friendly. The restaurants aren't very good. The worst coffee ever!

I love the classical charm of this hotel. High ceiling rooms, curved walls. The staff are friendly and efficient, even though they were handling guests in for at least two major events. Minor quibbles are the drink was very expensive at the bar, the noise beteeen rooms is loud (we used ear plugs and slept well), the shower pressure isn't amazing.

The hotel is not top notch. It's old rooms. The bathroom door was squeaky as he'll, someone needs to put some WD-40 on those things lol The main door is kinda bending. Some of the light from the lobby goes inside your room. I can't sleep with any lights on. Overall 7/10
