Great location and the family suite we reserved was not only ready 4 hours prior to check in time, but was clean, fresh, and enormous! We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

Each time we had to interact with the front desk staff they were very rude and condescending. All other staff in the hotel were nice. My room was right by the elevators and the door that led to the other wing of rooms. For the first couple nights the door would slam every time someone would walk through it, which in turn would shake my wall where the bed was. This made it extremely hard to sleep. Thankfully they were able to fix the door hinge after the third night. I also had a room that was adjoining another room. I could hear everything in my neighbors room, including two separate guests that were extremely loud while having sex. Not sure how that can be rectified to limit noise from other rooms but it aided in the difficulty to sleep. lol

This is a great place to stay. This was my fourth time this summer so far. Each visit has been wonderful. Many people write this hotel off as "old". Wonderful. Spend hundreds more at a "new" hotel and enjoy their shoddy or unpredictable service. Thats what I've experienced, especially at Hilton properties.

Stayed for two nights for a quick business trip. Check in was seamless. Front desk staff were helpful. The lobby had security officers and countless non-guests visiting the bar area. Signage to the south tower was unavailable. Room was clean yet a bit outdated. Bed was comfortable.

The room was quaint but the air conditioner barely worked and was very noisy. I went to the front desk requesting a maintenance check and the women behind the counter rolled her eyes. Needless to say nobody came. It was hot and very uncomfortable. We checked out a day early and will not be back. Also the staff did not hide the fact they didn’t want to bothered with the guests.

I rarely leave reviews but feel I have to here. Location is great. Property is garbage and service is non existent. Arrived after 8:00 to check in. Last at front was nice enough but made it seem like it was an inconvenience to check us in. Place is grimy all over. Yes it’s an old hotel and I didn’t expect new finishes but there were stains everywhere from carpet to trim and walls. My room had a very strong chemical smell which made it unbearable to be in there. After a day of trying to air it out with open windows while we were out and about I finally realized the smell was coming from the bathroom somewhere. We closed the bathroom door and suffered through it while we slept. Have a 7 year old with me and needed some dinner upon arrival. They said kitchen was open until 10:00. We went down at 8:45 and was told by the young hostess that they were closed even though there were a few other diners in the restaurant. You might suggest we just go eat somewhere else. We tried that but I didn’t feel safe walking around in the area with my daughter after 9:00. Homeless people doing drugs right outside the hotel entrance and scattered along the streets and the hotel employees didn’t say or do anything to address the problem. I’m generally not one to complain and especially not in a place where they make you feel like your presence is inconvenient. We suffered through it but take my advice and stay somewhere else. I’m not some uppity traveler and I’ve had much better stays at Motel 8.
