A Great Old Hotel in the heart of Chicago

What a great old hotel to stay in the heart of Chicago! The lobby is grand; the room was huge. There was a sitting room on our floor for an informal gathering. The bellmen were helpful with luggage, taxis, restaurant advice, and tickets to the architecture tour on the river. It was a great location, an easy walk to parks, museums, theaters, and shopping.

The good location saves this place's rating, but it's no surprise; it's basically the oldest hotel in Chicago. I recommend it for 1 or 2 nights to explore the city. Unfortunately, it's not really suitable for a longer stay. And there are no ghosts ;-)

I loved my stay at the Congress Plaza Hotel. It was very clean throughout the hotel and my room was no different. I had a beautiful view of the lake and the Buckingham Fountain right out my window. I was within a few blocks of multiple train and bus stops to easily get throughout the city. The hotel is near Soldier Field, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, and countless other landmarks. I had everything I needed and the staff was very friendly. I have already recommended the hotel to my friends and family. Thanks for a 5 star hotel experience!
