Our experience at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel was extremely disappointing. At check-in, the front desk staff was unaware that the property even had EV charging. Once located, the charging station turned out to be just a standard 120V outlet—not nearly sufficient to charge an electric vehicle.
We also had to change rooms because the shower in the first room was filthy, with hair and trash from previous guests (including used soap packaging). We took photos as proof.
The worst part came the next morning when we were literally stuck inside our room due to a safety latch that was incorrectly installed and wouldn't allow the door to open—a serious safety hazard. Later, we were locked out of the same room when the faulty latch engaged itself. Maintenance had to forcibly remove the latch, and it remained broken for the rest of our stay.
Overall, this was a terrible experience and we absolutely would not recommend this location to anyone.
