Very quiet. Rooms are sound proof don’t hear planes at all. Convenient walk to the airport, takes stress out of travel. We could not get lunch at the hotel, the restaurant was closed. Only place open was a coffee shop with assorted pastries etc., so we ate at the airport. Rooms are small but well appointed and comfortable.

I missed my flight from T5 and booked the Sofitel at LHR. I was expecting a pretty standard airport hotel - but the Sofitel was outstanding. Extremely clean and comfortable room, with Balmain products in the bathroom, bathrobe and coffee tray with tea and biscuits. A really elevated experience that turned a disappointing day (missing my flight) into something memorable. Would definitely recommend!
