Great hotel but room let it down

The hotel and public areas are prestine and give a great first impression. When we got to our room 503 i was really disappointed although the bathroom was modern and lovely to use. We paid £180 for this room so by no means a 'cheap option' it felt like a premier inn standard which we could have got for half the money. Also the cooked breakfast was so dry as everything had been left out too long. When we checked out we went to the car park to find our car had been boxed in by some idiot motorist who parked along a double yellow line section. Reception tried to sort quickly. But as they didnt have that reg on the system they had to contact the owner of the car next to us to move theirs. Luckily they were at the hotel when all this happened.

Room is spacious but basic and tired. Service at breakfast was poor, no clean tea plates, food offerring was basic and not replenished, tables not bleared in a tinely manner. Cleaning staff forced their way onto lifts with cleaning tolleys.- lack of training.

Hotel was ok , lobby was nice and reception staff were good and efficient , room was a bit tired but otherwise clean and tidy . The mattresses were solid and very uncomfortable , we only stopped one night and thee was one member of staff that shouldn’t be their he was behind the bar in the afternoon and made it very difficult to order and drink and in the food hall in the morning has was surly and unhelpful ( get another job mate ) listen there was nothing terrible about the night away as I got to see the best band in the world

Good hotel and staff. The only thing negative was room service . Ordered 3 meals and 3 drinks, phone call straight away to say one meal not available so ordered a different meal. Over an hour later, only 2 meals delivered and no drinks. No solution offered apart from can bring 3rd meal in an hour, no offer for drinks to be brought up or any solution. Liam offered free breakfast for the next morning, but as already paid for this, it wasn’t an option. Ruined the experience and the image I had of the hotel

Tired, run down and filthy

Very overpriced for a tired, run down room. The photos of the property were deceiving. Had I known that it was tired, run down and not particularly clean I would never have chosen this hotel. For 1 night at £400 is utterly disgraceful.

The hotel was clean. The staff were excellent. The breakfast selection was perfect. However, I have no idea what’s going on with their heating and water. From the 18th floor , all through the night we had vibrations and noise from every direction. I’m assuming it was flushes, showers, extraction fans going in all of these rooms but I’ve never heard anything like it. I’ve been at Radisson Blu all over the world but the Cardiff hotel has something seriously wrong with its plumbing and noise . At least from our room.
