Lovely hotel. Great location and breakfast. Staff were friendly. Just needed more staff at breakfast as run out of spoons and couldn’t find anyone and no one to greet you to breakfast. Great staff though.

Noisy drunk women in next bedroom stopped anyone getting a peaceful nights sleep. Apart from that, its a gem of a hotel with friendly staff and good breakfast

Ideal location, a bit noisy

This hotel is ideally situated to City Centre , and is walkable to most attractions, restaurants, pubs, transit and trains. Hotel is older but clean, and staff are friendly and helpful. Only note to be aware of is because it is an older building the walls between rooms are thin, and you can hear everything your neighbours are doing and saying. Also the road noise from traffic and late night rowdies are significant. I wore ear plugs and slept fine…

We have stayed here a few times over the years. To be honest its looking a little run down in areas such as the rooms look tired and some are small and very minimalistic. We booked breakfast over 3 days and didnt really get what we paid for as on both occasions at 9:30 am most of the trays of food were empty and had to make do with what was on offer. The location is outstanding and right next to the castle and principality stadium which was what we came for. All that said i will still go back as its still a really nice place to stay , the staff were friendly and pleasent at all times and overall very accommodating.
