Room was clean and comfortable, staff very unpleasant and unfriendly. Disappointed with the level of customer service at the hotel, staff were very unhelpful. Very disappointed that the spa facilities were out of order as that was the only reason we picked the hotel. We were not advised this by email or any other communication. We rang the hotel to book the spa and told they were out of order but should be ok by our stay. If they had told us they would not have been we would have changed hotels. We booked for the relaxation before Christmas. When asked to leave our luggage we were told we have to pay which is disgusting if you have a room booked. Very disappointed with this hotel and service, regular visitor to Cardiff we probably won’t return to this hotel.

Large panoramic room on the 12th floor with great views of Cardiff in 2 directions. Our friends booked a suite for only £30 more and it was about double the size, on the 15th floor, that’s what we’re booking next time! Clean room and complementary water and chocolate on arrival, plus a useful fridge, without all the unnecessary mini-bar contents. Disappointed that the swimming pool and hot tub was closed for maintenance.

Fire alarm was set off during the night causing us to be evacuated ending up being a false alarm, plus we was kept awake by very loud guests from a party held in the hotel, with no staff to take action. Plus staff wasn’t very helpfull when complaints was made. Won’t be staying again

I was given an upgraded room as the spa facilities were out of order. The room was very clean and bed very comfy. There was a coffee maker in the room and a free mini bar. Lovely views overlooking the city. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. It was my birthday there was a card brought to my room with a special biscuit saying happy birthday. I was given a drinks voucher to celebrate in the bar. Very nice

The main reason we booked Holland house was because we planned to use the pool, but we arrived and the pool was closed. Unexpected problems can happen but we booked the day before when the pool was already closed and it was not advised! When we left it was still closed though advertised online. There was no resolution to it and the complains were never answered. The central heating doesn’t seem work cos all the rooms have many electric heaters that take a while to heat up the room.

Breakfast was great, room a good size. The hotel including restaurant and bar area is very pleasant and comfortable. Excellent value for money and very convenient location. I didn't appreciate having to pay £5 to leave my luggage for a few hours though after checking out. I would definitely stay there again.
