We just got back from Dreams Riviera and if I could give this place 10 stars I would. The resort is very tropical and absolutely beautiful. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The only thing that I would have liked a little better was the view from our room...it looks like most 'ocean view' rooms are partial view - we were on the 4th floor and we barely saw the ocean over the palm trees. BUT...our room made up for the lack of the view. The room was beautiful. We are going to plan on coming back next year for sure. My birthday was during our trip, and they celebrated it every day...made me feel very special. Rudy was our 'host' as we checked in and gave us the run down of everything. Octavio in the bar in the Premier Club made the best Cosmo's! Jonathan one of the pool servers was very attentive and was always checking on us. Israel at the Steakhouse made my actual birthday so special with a flaming sparkler on top of my dessert...I cannot say enough about this place. Loved that it was only 20-25 min from the airport. Every restaurant we ate at was delish!!

We booked a premium deluxe with plunge pool king bed and while we were provided with this type of room which was very nice, it was in a terrible location. The room was located directly next to the walkway into the building, which wouldn't have been that bad except that this particular walkway was used for carts carrying all of the items needed for the multiple weddings they had on the property each day. It was noisy in the middle of the day and even worse at night when they brought everything back when the weddings were over (this was from 10pm to 12am every evening). The carts would be pushed past our room and then turn in the hallway towards our room and then rolled into a storage area directly across from our room and then unloaded - all of which was very loud and kept us up each night.

After a very long trip (12 hrs), i was disappointed they would try to sell us additional features and upgrades. At that moment all we wanted to do was get a shower, get some food, and get some rest. instead our luggage was hijack we has to sit and listen to some dog and pony show before we could get out luggage and our room.
