Hi Karen, I’m a little confused about your comments. When you made your booking online there is a section called “Special check-in instructions” that details how to check in. You made the reservation 9 days prior to arrival and 30min after your reservation we sent you an email explaining the access to the apartment. We explained that you would be dealing directly with the owner and not the on-site manager that other owners use to manage their apartments. Detailed in the information we send to all guests (including yourself on accepting your booking) is the following: NOTE: We do NOT have a reception (it's used by another company that is not associated with us), you are dealing directly with the owner of the apartment, so please read the attached instructions carefully or call us if you have any concerns as we are not available onsite to assist you. And “If this is not what you had expected and wish to cancel in preference to a resort where you can use the reception, please let us know within 24hrs of making the booking and we will happily offer you a cancellation without penalty.” The emailed information also let you know that if you are arriving after dark you may need a torch or your phone to see the keypad for the apartment key. The email we sent you has our phone number, the email had two attachments both have our email, website address, phone number and we are in WhatsApp. We sent you another email prior to arrival and again with all the contact details. We sent you a text message with contact and website details prior to arrival. The apartment itself does not have a phone (this is detailed in the information we sent you). We do check with our guests that they have a mobile phone (as we did with you) and for the very few guests that do not supply us a mobile phone number we let them know what other options may be available like WhatApp, SMS or email. I’m not sure why you would say communication was poor when we exchanged communication via email (more than 20 of them), phone calls and text messages. With regard to Wi-Fi, you used a little over 15GB of data and you were not charged. Most resorts in Broome have a single internet connection for the entire resort, so while it may be free and unlimited, it may not always be reliable and/or fast. We supply our guests a dedicated connection per apartment, but we do ask that you give us advanced notice (if possible) so we can make sure it’s ready and charged up before your arrival. Transportation was detailed in the emails we sent you, we supply a list of options that include: names, websites and phone numbers. When guests arrive in Broome, there are taxi, shuttle buses and hire car companies all within 50m of the terminal. Broome townsite is where the airport is located and has a number of hotels and resorts if your preference is to be near the town.
