Great design, dirty room
Nice modern design and the staff was super friendly. The room was dirty though. Coffee drop stains next to the coffee machine, dust on the lid of the ice bucket, sunflower seeds on the headboard, and what could have been blood or makeup on the door frame inside of the bathroom. Not the usual level of cleanliness we see staying at Hyatt hotels.

Adequate all around
Hyatt Place is a newish, clean hotel, which, although more expensive than other like Bakersfield properties, provides comfort and all the basics. I stay there every time. The free breakfast, while not gourmet, is a good way to launch one’s day. A nit: the front desk staff can be a little whacky and seems to have turnover.
