We came in from the airport, and it was nice that it was not far from the nearby train station stop. The hotel check in was a bit slow. In terms of a place to stay, it’s nice enough, we had a room with a decent size window that opened towards a canal and allowed for good airflow. The units are fairly small and tight, but for the price in central Amsterdam we didn’t mind. We thought the shower and how it kind of isn’t fully separate from the rest of the bathroom might’ve caused water to get everywhere, but that wasn’t an issue.

Good, fictional hotel, a short walk from the tourist areas. The rooms were fine and clean, although the bathrooms were quite tight. We had a room next to the road, so it wasa little noisy.

This hotel had pros and cons. On the positive side it was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable. It was about a 10 to 12 minute walk to the nearest metro or tram stop. However, I found the amenities to be lacking. The room had no bar fridge, no coffee maker, no trash can except a small one in the bathroom, no tissues etc. Also, at night you could not find food in the area. There was a grocery store open until 10 PM. That was about a 12 minute walk away, but if you are coming back to the hotel after that, you will not be able to get any food locally.

Absolute nightmare of a stay. We booked 5 nights and after checking inn on the Monday evening late at night we realised the next day the room was so un-tidy and ripped bed sheets and cob webs hanging off the fire alarm over the bed. I was looking forward to staying here and it was just the worst stay ever. We then complained to the staff who seemed quiet hostile after I told them the issues the next day and I asked for them to refund me the 3rd of July till the 5th and they did there very best not to do this even though the room was nothing like the pictures, it was a very un tidy unhygienic room. So me and my partner booked else where costing us a £1000 more and we have been told no refund is possible at ibis how is this even possible even after having evidence of the issues with the room, I think this is an absolute joke and worst customer service experience I’ve had. I even offered to pay the 2 nights we stayed and refund the reminder but they said no and had basically ruined the start to my birthday week away with my wife I would still like the 3rd until the 5th July refunding as this is unacceptable Avoid this place it is not worth the money at all

Good overall value for price. This hotel lacks a fridge so it's quite basic but included breakfast which was decent and since Amsterdam is packed with tourists in summer and very busy it's good overall value.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were basic. Bathroom was like an XL RV bathroom. Breakfast was standard European and a good start for the day. Very good location for our group: 5/10 min walk to train stops and the underground metro station. 5/10 min walk from the Nemo science center. Grocery store around the corner.
