The bathroom equipment was very old! The carpet wasn’t vacuumed and plenty of bugs were running around. Stuff friendly and parking good. We didn’t have breakfast because we checked out immediately after sawing the accommodation.

A charming motel and surprisingly warm given how chilly the weather was and, as the property is old, some of the windows did not quite close properly. Staying at the Hahndorf Old Mill Motel set the scene for a captivating town with so many shops and experiences to enjoy.

Convenient location and gaming, restaurant facilities were clean and tidy but the room is very over priced for a ran down motel room. The room was very small, had a smell that just felt old and ran down. Pricing of the room is not worth it.

We stayed due to a wedding in the area. The room was incredibly run down & poorly maintained. Very mouldy shower, toilet was not clean, the room had a foul smell, hole in the bed head, overall room experience was far from good. However, the downstairs area (bar/gaming area) were nice & there was good parking. The staff were also helpful.

Staff were great, big carpark so no issues there. Shower was amazing - water pressure was high and water nice and hot. My only complaints would be that there were no power points any where near the bed (I had to unplug the tv to plus in the fan to use overnight, and had to charge phone on the other side of the room) - not the end of the told but still annoying - and that the window was not sealed, letting in cold air and noise

No working internet, and no teaspoons. Everything for just 2 people, so you have to keep washing up constantly. No vanity cabinet, just a sink, no outdoor area outside the rooms where you could just sit and relax. Power point in vathroom hanging off the wall, reported but not fixed

I was really happy to find we had been allocated the original historical cottage for the night. Of course this meant the amenities were limited but that’s to be expected. It was clean, comfortable and realistic.

Staff are super friendly and our evening meal was lovely. Our room was away from the main hotel, had everything we needed, bed was comfortable. We thought it would be quiet. There was a band on a bit further up the street which we could hear, they finished at 11pm. It was Saturday night so we understood.

Disappointed as two of the 3 beds were broken on arrival and we told the staff every day for 3 days about it. They kept putting us off. Nothing was done while we were there and has been done to apologise since.

The whole place is showing signs of neglect in maintenance and cleanliness. Mold in shower, front door lock not very secure- door had signs of being forced previously, only one bedside light worked, both bedside lights were loose in their mountings, furniture was outdated and tacky,

The picture postcard impressions of this hotel are not even close to reality. We booked two rooms and rejected our first offering as one had a broken window closer with no flyscreen, the second room just stank beyond belief. We were shown to an alternate room (two bedroom family room) and rejected that also. It had been used by a smoker (despite this being supposedly not permitted in the hotel) and the lingering smoke residue was not suitable for an asthmatic. The bathroom in this room was also a disgrace as the only place one could apply makeup was in the actual toilet which had bad lighting and zero bench/storage space. The bathroom had no mirrors at all and very bad light. The staff moved us to a chalet which was acceptable but still not up to the value of the very expensive rooms we booked. Furnishings old and shabby, bed way too soft (old?) TV totally non functional. As has been mentioned in other posts, this could be a nice hotel if the owners would just update and maintain it., But they are clearly more interested in their room full of gaming machines which was new, clean and obviously meticulously maintained. This is not a good hotel. It is a pub (apparently the food is good but we never tried it) full of pokie machines with a few very badly maintained bedrooms attached. The staff were fantastic and did an excellent job trying to help us but the reality is that there are far better alternatives available at much cheaper prices.
