Overall it was a good stay but there were some fundamental issues with the execution. Staff were lovely but poorly trained and poor/manual processes caused unnecessary friction in the experience. The check in process was a joke and is hands down the most inefficient and frustrating processes I’ve ever experienced. Booking dinner venues was also frustrating and our building “concierge” was away 3/4 days we were there. The hotel offered a daily afternoon tea experience but there was no milk for tea and the staff were gone for ages looking for it. The hotel info was hard to find and not much was documented. A lot of the info that was documented, was inconsistent with reality ie restaurant operating hours. There were no menus that we could peruse (other than room service) and none of the restaurants or bars had a drinks menu. Signage around the resort was minimal and the paths were very dark at night made worse by the heavy rain. Hotel staff were great at keeping the drinks fridge stocked but kept forgetting to check the snacks cupboard. Staff also forgot to do turn down service one of the nights. All these things are minor in detail and not the fault of any individual staff member but hotel management has plenty of room for improvement.
