We have stayed before property is in need of some maintenance in the accommodation side of things. Our room was neat and tidy however our mattress had see better days. We have come across this in the past. They definitely get there money’s worth out of mattresses. Buffet breakfast was lovely however the restaurant itself could do with a revamp. We’ve been going there for 13years and not much has changed.

Room ok for overnight stay Room not very clean, mould in shower/bathroom. Very disappointing tv channel access. Could not even watch all free to air channels. The staff member that helped us was lovely and explained how embarrassing it was with the cost cuts with tv channels.

Our room was unclean. Marks in the spa bath despite there being a tag on it to state hygiene cleaned. Marks on the wall. The fridge was uncleaned. We mentioned it to reception and they advised a VIP clean would be done the next day. Returning back to our room on the second day I would not have called it a VIP clean. The toilet bowl which we were unable to clean due to no brush had not been cleaned and when I lifted the lid I found a lot of very old fasces on the underneath of seat and mold on the inside upper rim. Looked like it had not seen a brush in a while. Fridge still not cleaned. Marks still on the wall. We had two tvs and the remote control in the lounge kept turning the bedroom tv on and changing its channels. Housekeeping did not tidy up ie. fold up and put away blankets or straighten up couch. 2nd day cleaning did not get done till after 2pm and only once we called reception. Once again - kitchen bench not tidied up, blanket not put away and couch not straightened up. Add to that coffee and tea was not refreshed. Signage around the place I feel was not sufficient. Washing machines - website states washing machine takes $1 coins. Reception said 3 $1 coins for washing machine. Found the washing machine was 5 $2 coins. One machine was out of order with a sign. The other machine still half full of water. Add to this we were giving washing detergent from reception the was for front loaders and the machines were both top loaders. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Great property and lots for kids to do. We went to Sola restaurant for dinner and found it over priced for the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered the Moreton Bay Bugs Salad and was lucky if I had two it was all lettuce. Husband had the steak which was very chewy.

I found it quite difficult to get in touch with reception before and during my stay. The staff seemed a little unsure of processes, as though they were all new or still in training. I was staying for a work function and had a short 40-minute break between sessions after traveling since 4 am, so I’d hoped to rest briefly. Unfortunately, a staff member knocked on my door to ask if my air-conditioning was working, which interrupted my quick nap.

The floor in the room was dirty the moment we walked in. Rest of the room was fine, no complaints really. Most of the staff seemed to have an issue with being at work - except Austin in the restaurant. Nice guy!

Nice place to stay, resort is well setup but needs a pressure clean and the tv's are samsung only so its impossible to cast or stream from your iphone.

My wife and I stayed for one night in a 1 queen bed garden view room @$355.00 per night. While we enjoyed the serenity of the resort, we discovered the bed sloped inwards towards the centre, this due to using two single mattresses and not a proper queen-size mattress. We could feel the join between the two mattresses. This made for an uncomfortable sleep and degraded the overall experience. It was not what we had expected from a Novotel Resort. Also, the teaspoon in the room had not been washed.

Too big for the insufficient staff to be able to provide any real care factor. The pool facilities are around 30% of the scale needed for the number of rooms. Young staff trying hard, but clearly untrained and overworked. The management business seems to know they will continue to (over)fill the rooms and don’t have to try or care about the experience once you’re there. Simple things like rooms have very limited facilities (e.g. no cups/glasses in the bathrooms / nowhere to hang dry towels in the bathrooms) yet Room Service meals are delivered on disposable paper plates with no cutlery??? Clearly the objective is to squeeze as much money as possible out of the punters with as little effort/or care as possible. I have visited this property a number of years ago and had a very enjoyable stay - it is such a shame to see how it is being managed and milked today. We won’t be back anytime soon.
