I have always enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza North York. Pros Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Restaurant is good. Cons Dont use unscented detergents and the air fresheners in the hallways are quite strong. --Fragrances such as these are a common allergy and should be avoided.--

The hotel seemed quite empty but I was a given beside the elevator and adjoining rooms to a noisy guest which interrupted my sleep. Amenities need upgrading gym, pool room. No robes or slippers in room over all just not a hotel I would recommend. Check-in team was very nice and fantastic though and did provide a late check out

From the check in this was a terrible experience; the parking lot has a bar but no guidance on what to do. There is a line of cars wrapped around the entrance with a long line of people checking in inside while their families wait in this other line of cars. I can understand if they are busy, but the customer service from the man and woman working on 2/14 around 6pm was absolutely horrendous. I come to Toronto every couple weeks and have stayed at multiple locations across downtown, York, Vaughn, Markham and this is hands down the worst front desk experience I have ever had. They could not be more apathetic to anything going on; none of the normal information or question you would get during check in.. parking explantion, wifi info, number of keys, and general customer service civility. I asked the male worker if they hand laundry bags; he turned into an office and came back with a few and handed them to me all without looking at me like he was distracted by watching the TV at the bar. Once we got into the room it did not get any better: The black out curtains were ripped on the top so light flowed in the edges The shower/bath water came out black in the beginning either from dust in the tub or the pipes themselves The room was missing an office chair for the desk The TV didnt work at all. (I called the front desk multiple times for assistance and they did not answer the first few times, but when they did answer they said they would send someone but they never did)

Staff was friendly, room was cleanish slow drain in bathroom sink and spots on duvet cover and sheets. Had an issue with an added name to the reservation. I booked through Expedia and messaged the hotel directly 4 days before my arrival to add a guest on to the reservation and include them in breakfast. While I have documentation of this conversation of course the hotel did not and still charged me for breakfast when it should’ve been included in my rate. Offering your rooms on a 3rd party site for sales but then not offering those paying clients the same level of service as the ones who booked through you directly is absurd. Business is business customer service is customer service and a guest is a guest regardless of how they booked their stay at your establishment.
