Wouldn’t return

Friendly staff but little help sorting out taxis in both occasions I needed one. It would have been easier and faster and substantially cheaper to have used public transport but they dismissed my question. The room was nice but lots of single use plastic, bottled water, liners in the bins and ice bucket and mini toiletries, all of which are unnecessary and outdated. As the hotel is near a major road, the noise was relentless, even at 3am (the jet lag hours). The ‘no cost to you’ security deposit that they took does cost the international visitor with transaction fees both when the money is taken from your card and then returned, aside from any loss incurred with changes in the exchange rate. This also establishes a negative experience for the guest from the outset as it suggests that the hotel doesn’t trust them.

Staff were wonderful and we felt very catered to. The building itself on the other hand was quite worn down and many of the amenities listed were out of service. The room was clean and was kept consistently clean by housekeepers. Overall I would consider coming back again once the rest of the hotel is functional.

My room was large and clean and quiet so all that was very good! The one problem was that at times that there was one elevator (out of 3) that was out of service and then at times, a second elevator wasn't working which caused long wait times to get to and from the room.

Great location, wood trees, big lobby, and a lot of space. Restaurant & bar are good with great service. Room was spacious, but old balcony and bottom of bathroom had signs of mold. The elevators were the worst ever. Three elevators, but at one point, only one was working. Very slow!!! After arriving to a floor, it was taking between 7-8 seconds to open the door. Service was good. Price was good too.

The hotel is fine, but has a number of areas under renovation. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the main restaurant was excellent and giid value. Breakfast in the restaurant was going to involve a very long wait, so we wenr to Tim Hortons next door.
