I accept that COVID19 has had an impact however The place is in need of a major overhaul. It’s cold with little heating. Reception is only staffed between 2-6 pm. No breakfast available. Limited evening meal selection. However the bar and its staff were great. The wood heater was very inviting. Our King bed room was huge but cold with only a small wall heater, the shower was small with poor water pressure. The walls are pretty thin as we had to move our bed across to the other side of the room and leave the TV on to drown out the snoring next door. I can see that in its hay day it would of been ok but it’s lost whatever it may have had. I asked for a Tax invoice the afternoon prior to us checking out at 7am the next day. Was told to get it from Wotif - even though I paid the Hotel direct. Cannot see any reason we would return - except to call in for the German beers on tap in the bar.

You ask us to change the name of the invoice, which is not legal. Remember, Expedia provided booking services and the hotel provides accommodation. You entered a contract with Expedia and provided your payment information to them, we are not able to provide receipt for a commercial arrangement the you entered with a third party. Your poor review is in retaliation for a service you expected and didn't know receive for valid reasons. You booked a budget room for $120.00 and a budget room is what you had. That's just the truth about reviews, they are often a form of punishment for unreasonable expections. And your is just one of them.

The property was immaculately clean throughout; however, the pandemic has clearly not been kind, which has meant the only staff member in the entire facility on a Saturday night was the manager, the only heating was a single open fire so it was like an ice box, the hot water in our room failed and took some time to address and then failed again overnight which meant cold water in the morning. There was no restaurant or food of any description available on a Saturday evening and the included breakfast was not available because of a staffing shortage. Although very clean, the property is now dated and feels a bit tired and run down, a bit like St Helens did overall. On the drive home through Bicheno, we wished that we had stayed there instead, it was a vibrant little town. I did really enjoy the proximity to Binnalong Bay and the great walking tracks there. I am so sorry but I could not recommend the Panorama Resort.

Due to the Covid border shut down, we offered a special rate of $120/night for room only. We quite open told guests that there will be no food and beverage services. In contrast to your review, there was no breakfast included. We lit a fire for you as the only guest and it seems as if that was not to your satisfaction either. Our hotel is very clean and well maintained. The hot water system is brand new and was working, but due to low occupancy, it took a while to get \hot. Sorry that you didnt like St Helens and our hotel.

Lovely rooms, great views and a great location. Overall it was a place to stay, however the room had very poor heating and next to no hot water. You had to run the taps for 3 to 4 minutes before the water would start to heat up. My option thats a terrible waste of water.

We stayed in the off-season (June 2021) for 3 nights. Although it’s a large facility it felt like a small luxury boutique hotel. The view from our water view room was sensational and the room was very spacious. The small heater had been turned on before our arrival. My wife and I felt very fortunate to stay there. Note that the restaurant is not open in the off season but it’s a short walk to the Main Street. Sunday music and happy hour with locals is not to be missed.
