The main hotel itself is nice and meals were good however the accommodation was way below what you’d expect for the price. Dead flies all through room, missing cupboard doors, missing lightbulbs, dirty crockery, un-drinkable water with no bottle water supplied to even brush teeth.

Property is a bit dated and in need of renovation which the new owner has started.

All the provided jams and milks were well past best before date (in some cases over a year). There were no light fittings, only bulbs in the bayonet fitting. The bulbs were very dim. The lounge /sofa bed had a solid board under a very thin cushion and was most uncomfortable. The communal rooms were full of junk from their renovations. There was no chopping board. There was no water three mornings out of six, until the pump was primed. There was an oven that looked brand new, but when we came to use it there were no baking dishes (the was an electric frypan). On the plus side the beds were comfy, the place was warm and dry.

Stop over

We walked in to the hotel and the woman behind the bar was far from welcoming. Got the key and directions to the room. Room ok nothing to rave about. Dinner at the pub was ok, best part about the place was the open fire. Would not stay again.

Nice remote pub with view of Great Lake

I had a basic cabin behind the pub. It was good for an overnight, if you are ok with communal toilets & showers. Older facilities, but clean, warm room with a comfortable bed. They provide the towel and bedding but you make your own bed. The price was fair and the pub had a good view, good vibe and good food.

The middle of nowhere hotel

Low standard cabins and facilities. Food at the bar was unfresh (mold on tomatoes in the salad). The good thing was the silence and possiblity to see wild animals on the parking.
