Our stay was unfortunately short but guaranteed to return for a longer stay in the future. The Farmers cottage was welcoming and warm on arrival. Clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. We had a quick look around our surroundings in the evening before loosing daylight and again in the morning before we had to leave. So much to see and learn. The history of the estate is fascinating. The animals were all so friendly. Even the pig sat for a photo and had a pat. We left rested, clean, and well fed at breakfast. We are planning our next visit already. Thank you

Very charming cottage with plenty of space for five adults. Comfortable lounge chairs would be a help, but very glad of good beds.

B&B set in a well maintained cottage garden

Pros: See above. I also enjoyed the homemade produce including jam, biscuits and preserved fruit.
Cons: More cut wood for the fire although I managed to collect additional wood from a nearby shed,
Location: The self tour of Brickendon farm buildings & video documenting the history of the property. Tour of Woolmers Estate and National Rose Garden.
On arrival I noted that the fire was set, a carafe of sherry on a nearby table in a rustic cottage setting which was homely and spacious. I loved the well maintained cottage garden and the setting was private although not too far from the family residence if I needed anything. I also enjoyed visiting the historic farm buildings and watching a video which told the history of the family and the property,

Cosy rustic cottage.

Pros: Private cottage, great comfortable beds, beautiful scenery and gardens just outside the back door.
We stayed in the Old Farm Cottage which was cosy and a lot larger than anticipated. Well equipped, underfloor heating in the bathroom is fabulous. Really enjoyed the farm animals and privacy that the cottage offered away from other guests
