I would definitely stay in this hotel again given a reasonable rate. One of my favourite things in Seattle is the Pike Street Market and you could not find a more conveniently located hotel to access it. In addition, I found the hotel charming and though it retained its old world charm it was still nicely renovated.

I enjoyed the design of this property - very much on theme with its eclectic floral / woodsy / industrial / retro mid-century vibe. That being said, some of the design trumped functionality. There was little room to put your toiletries in the bathroom, and the coffee maker was on a table with no outlet so we had to move it to the windowsill where there was an open outlet to make coffee. Not deal breakers but little random things to keep in mind. That being said, we loved our stay and the central location to the waterfront, Pike Place, and light link rail station (all walking distance).

We loved this hotel. It was clean, the staff was lovely, and it was so close to everything we wanted to go and do. My least favorite thing was definitely the bed and pillows but we will definitely stay again.

Read this before you stay

Had something alarming happen in the elevator where a stranger asked me for money and proceeded to ride the elevator to my floor without being a guest at the hotel so I could fish money out of my purse for him. Definitely felt concerned for my safety here, amongst other things like hot water going in and out, no real TV, and odd placement of furniture. I was also locked out around 9PM from the lobby and had to wait to be buzzed in. Would not recommend. I got the recommendation from Goop and they are usually spot on but this was a huge miss.

Perfect spot for visiting Seattle without a car

Simply awesome location for a vacation in Seattle. Easy access to both light rail and the monorail, and a literal stone’s throw from Pike Place. Facility is quaint and the staff was friendly and responsive. Neighborhood felt perfectly safe, even returning late in the evening. Would absolutely stay there again. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it’s showing its age a bit (chipped paint and things like that), and the windows could definitely stand to be replaced. They let in unusually high levels of noise and - on a windy night - some pretty serious drafts. (I actually had to prop up a pillow so that it wouldn’t blow on me while I slept.) Also, I had an almost-cold shower at 8:45 the first morning, as if the hot water had run out. Didn’t have the same problem at an earlier hour the next day. Would still stay there again in a heartbeat, but more for the location and staff than the facilities themselves, which seem to not have been as modernized as they could.

Nice (but noisy) hotel

Nice hotel, great location, very good attached restaurant. However, the room was extremely noisy, particularly at night. I understand some rooms are more noisy than others. Perhaps the key is to request a quieter room at check-in

Beautiful lobby, cozy room, easy to use thermostat, wonderful staff. The little of street noise outside wasn’t too bad from the 4th floor. Biscuits in the breakfast menu absolutely bang and the coffee was above expectations, even for the PNW. For solo travelers, would absolutely recommend.
