When checking into the hotel, I was charged an extra $402. There was a special amenity that was supposed to be inside my room prior to my arrival that wasn’t inside my room. They charged me 80 dollars for just one cheap bottle of champagne and four strawberries after telling me while I was checking in it’s upstairs in the room and there would be rose petals (which was a lie you only get four strawberries and champagne ) Me and my gf was tired from traveling all day and just wanted to take a nap. Room service knock at the door one time without consent he just walked in my room while me and my girlfriend were laying in bed naked. Strike number three was while out doing an excursion room service just so happened to stop by without consent. Changed the sheets and gave us new towels, and I noticed that my pink vibrator that was in the bed and my diamond watch was missing off the nightstand.

My stay at The Royal Sonesta was okay overall. It’s an older building and definitely could use some updates. The experience wasn’t bad, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations for the price. Not very much restaurant choices. I stayed at all inclusive resorts that were way nicer fur the price I paid for Royal Sonesta.

The hotel is near everything. I loved the access to the water-sports and immediate access to the beach.

The ocean-view room was clean and offered a beautiful view. However, the elevators could use improvement, as they were quite slow to arrive. The beach was lovely and easily walkable. Overall, we’d be happy to stay here again on our next visit to San Juan.

The websites made it seem like there was a lot more to do than there actually was so it made for somewhat of a boring resort type stay However it was a very nice resort, with great staff and a beautiful view.
