I thought from the beginning the staff was not very welcoming or friendly or helpful. I can even do without the welcoming and friendly if you do your job correctly but that did not happen either. We were not given wristbands or parking pass and had a huge hassle later because of it. When we asked the person who checked us in about it she pointed fingers at others and took no accountability. Sadly the breakfast has gone downhill. It used to be one of the main reasons my family chose Embassy but that will likely change in the future. The value is no longer there.

While the property is situated 2 blocks from the beach, you will not have any ocean views due to neighboring hotels. We stayed for 8 days and on day 3 I fell asleep on the couch and woke up covered in what appeared to be insect bites. The response from the staff was that they have expert cleaners, but would move me rooms. It took me contacting the corporate office to somewhat get a resolution (1 day compensation off of my bill). Parking is a daily pay rate of $20 a night for guests so be aware of that when choosing a hotel based off nightly rates in neighboring hotels. All there is a mall casino inside of here and since the hotel is built as a square expect any sound to travel to your “living room” at any hour of the night. Living room “window” is not necessary as it literally just looks onto the inside of the hotel hallway so must be closed 100% of the time unless you’re ok with anyone walking past and looking in. There is a restaurant and a casino on site. The staff was amazing upon our arrival. We arrived 7 hours before check in without any available rooms. They stored our luggage (safely) and texted us once there was availability (of which was still before check in time). That spoke volume. We were able to explore Carolina and maximize the time. Definitely customer friendly.

Let’s start with the temperature, it’s a beautiful country, lovely weather, lovely sun right? But coming out of the pool wet from the heat and going into what feels like 10 degrees internal temperature of the hotel felt like a nightmare! Daily had this issue of being in heat to cold, I got terribly sick,my whole family got sick! Tried using the change room outside but did not help as my toddlers hair was wet and she still got sick going back in and up to the rooms. spent days recovering and wearing sweats to stay warm when going into the main area etc. the rooms were freezing even with the ac off, I have been to Canada when it was 2 degrees and did not feel this way. It just did not make sense. Could not wear a sun dress or summer clothing. Not every one is used to that type of cold and heat and the same time. On day 6 of my 11 day stay, I asked to have our bands changed as the paper bands were worn out, my toddler lost her band and I got the nastiest attitude of I would need to old one to change it when all they could do is check my account and see how long I would be staying. The bands cannot last more than 4 days, please reconsider plastic or silicone material. They even told me I would have to pay for them if I came to ask again. Very horrible. On check out they told me that they would apply payments to my card so I asked what payment? As I knew that I had none and then the rep replied “oh I had the wrong room” so had I said yes ? I would have paid for someone else’s

Family Friendly Great location

The hotel room served this purpose as a traveling family. The kids were able to stay in the living room part however the pullout couch was very uncomfortable for my 14-year-old overall it was just a piece of mattress over those hard springs so we folded the couch back up and put a sheet over the sofa, and she had no complaints. She had her own TV her own space my husband and I have our own space the room was a little dated, but it didn't matter because we were always out of the room. The hotel has a great breakfast. That's free in the morning with homemade omelette Made to order as well as a buffet breakfast. My husband and I did attend the evening reception a couple of days out of our week long stay it was pretty cool. They had tortillas and olives to go along with the drinks. We did not visit the pool in the hotel although the area pool area was beautiful. We primarily always went to the beach and the beach was a short walk to the hotel with a Walgreens along the way, the walk was about six minutes if that totally doable if I could do it again, I would have picked up my rental car maybe on the second day of my vacation I would've took an a taxi to the hotel checked in went to the beach. oh and also the hotel had a casino. I went to there it was nice, and both of the restaurants in the casino area were perfect. This resort is underrated.
