The door to the bathroom kept coming off for some reason ??? And it would get stuck when it was closed all the way making it difficult to get out of the bathroom. So we had to leave it like halfway open all the time. Water was shut off randomly at times and the next day they gave us set times to use the water because throughout the day it did not work at all. So we couldn’t shower or flush or anything and sometimes the water wouldn’t even turn on at the time it was supposed. Not the best !!

The first room they gave us was absolutely terrible. The toilet didnt flush, the walls were dirty, the place was really beaten up. We were moved to another room, which was very nice, however, we only had water between certains hours for the day. We didnt have our room cleaned, or clean towels or garbage taken out for 2 days. It was terrible. I will never stay at this hotel ever again. We got several different stories as to why they were conservering water.

THE RESORT WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, CLOSED POOL AND NO ONE SAID ANYTHING NOR DID ANYTHING FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. ALSO, CLEANING ROOM SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE.

Charged me 150 dollars for service fee after the second day went to them asked them why the room hasn't been cleaned they told me after 4 days they clean the room all they did was leave clean towels and left clean sheets didn't put them on terrible service i asked them if i can stay 2 extra hours because my plane was delayed they told me 75 dollars extra i will never come back here ever again

Beautiful view from my room. I was only there for one night. The bar area is nice. Bartender was great. Would be challenging to get around with a wheelchair, walker…. Sidewalks and ramps not ADA compliant. Steep in spots. I didn’t see a ramp up to the check in/out office. I had to drag my suitcase up 4 stairs.

Good: room was clean, bed comfortable. Bad: Check-in took too long, the lady had printer issues. There's no ice or water for guests. The pool was closed, which was a big reason we booked it. The overall atmosphere of the building was an apartment, rather than hotel.

First thing is the pool is not available. Wasn’t available last year either. Second there is a lot of construction going on in rooms which is also something that was going on last year. I am happy that they are working on the rooms and all but now I have a 4 month old and to stay in a room where next door and or upstairs there is someone drilling and chipping away at concrete all day was not ideal for us. Staff is always amazing! The lobby and rooms are spotless can’t complain about that. The area is also super nice and everything is local. Unfortunately the game room is completely unavailable maybe one machine was working the rest are out of order and the entire hotel smells like mold. Not the rooms though. This is tough to write because this is my second trip staying there and I would love to again, however, going to diner and seeing other hotels in the area made me want to stay there vs ESJ. I think in time they are going to make it something and I’m sure in the past it was an amazing place to stay at but right now I wouldn’t stay there again.
