The view and some of the staff are the nicest feature of this location. I’m sorry to say everything else is not up to par with the other hotels in the area. They need to step up. We used to stay here before Covid and it was a fun place. The administration needs to do a lot of work to get it back to what it was.

Where to start! I must say that the staff is amazing, wonderful caring people, HOW EVER!! the property itself is a different story.. we got there on 04/21, since day 1 we had no hot water, no TV, my friends had TV on the last day, I never had service or connection, bed sheets were filthy, mine had some stains, my friends had dog hair, my friends room had a couple of roaches.. there is construction going on in the property itself, holes all over the place.. the pool that attracted me to the ESJ was closed and has been for several years, yet photos are still on their website.. I booked a room with a view and got 1st floor with a patio, which was ok by me....positive on this hotel is that the restaurants, casinos and beach was just a few yards walk.. would I ever stay here again? NEVER, I will spend the extra $$$ and stay next door, "The San Juan Hotel" but again I want to thank the wonderful staff for everything, and they can only do so much, I am sending a very nice letter to the ESJ parent company "Adcon Corporation" staff needs more backing and more resources to accommodate guest.. my advice to you all, stay here at your own risk, if and when you do! do not blame the staff for your inconvenience or discomfort, they try their best with what little they are given.

This property has a policy to clean rooms every three days, and even then its not done properly. Dishes were left in sink dirty. While we were there we lost power for almost a whole day and no compensation nor explanation was given to us. This property should not even be considered a hotel.

Well other hotels in the area had electricity but we only had it in the lobby and hallways not inside the room. Electricity came on the second day at night. Even the staff were very nice, the hotel fall short. Inside of room, not enough lighting. It looked ver poorly taken care. We had to take our own garbage to another room. No pool. I will not recommend to anyone.

Overall pretty room, clean, and the view was very pretty. But there are some outdated pictures on the website; for ex: their pool was closed until further notice and I wasn’t notified until after I booked the room. The WiFi never worked, and the TV never worked either. The last night we lost power, which I understand that is out of staff’s control but in my opinion if you’re running a hotel you should definitely have an efficient plan to not keep your guest without electricity or hot water.

The pool was out of order and that was not stated sldjring booking. The phone and tv did not work. The bathroom light flickered every time it was on. The parking garagfe needs major work and smelled like a dead rat was lost in there. Would not recommend this place.

What a big disappointment! After not visiting PR, my parents' native land, in 15 yrs & looking forward to our stay at the ESJ Beach Hotel, it was not as expected, unfortunately! Long story short, while the front desk check-in staff seemed a bit friendly & somewhat accommodating, there was no one at the front desk to answer any of my phone calls made from our hotel room to assist us with the ac/heating unit which wasn't working properly & with some much needed missing toiletries in our room. Upon arriving at approx. 1:45pm and checking in we were told our room wasn't clean & that it would be ready by 3pm; in which case we didn't mind and decided to just get something to eat in the meantime at the Chili's Restaurant across the street which was very convenient for us after an exhausting long trip. It all started on Thurs., 4/17, during the power outage in PR when I had spoken with Tania at the front desk on our way out to request Main Service for our room which I was told would be done, but was never taken care of. On Fri., 4/18, after following up on it & speaking with another female staff at the front desk & showing her my multiple bed bug bites from the dirty sheets, she said it would be done before 4pm for sure that day. It wasn't until 4:55pm when we were spotted in the lobby of the hotel returning from our outing that our room was cleaned as we waited. Also, no refund has been issued yet for the 1.5 day blackout I was told during check-out I would receive!

The hotel needs work. The walls are ruined. The housekeeping is not very good. I stay there for almost 10 days and they never changed the pillowcases. The bathroom was not clean properly. I honestly didn't like this hotel.

Having the beach in your backyard is great, so was the outdoor bartender. But the roaches, ants, and lack of cable wasn't ideal.
