Beds were stiff. In the small bathroom we found long dark colored hairs in the shower. We could not keep the fan on the air conditioning unit. We could hear the first above us walking around.

On arriving at this place we booked in with no issues and went to our room which was clean and comfortable as we were on a road trip and only staying for two nights. However the queue for breakfast was ridiculously long and once we were in I have to say the people were literally grabbing food as if they hadn’t eaten for months, pushing in front and basically rude. On the second morning I finished breakfast and wanted to take my coffee to our room and was stopped by a guy in a suit that was looking over the whole restaurant, he told me I couldn’t take it , so I said where shall I put it, he said where you were sat of which I did , he followed me and said that wasn’t your table …. YOU HAVE TO SHOW RESPECT HERE !!!!!! I could not believe he said that to me. I reported this to the receptionist that morning and no apology. We stayed in Cambria , marina del ray in Venice, the ranch in furnace creek, the venition in Las Vegas , Yosemite park and Monterey and were treated extremely well and with respect. The Manager should have dealt with this and an apology should have been made to me.

Overall it was a good stay. The only tarnish was the little cafe's food quality. My wife got a brownie, ate half of it, and within 2 hours was up for the rest of the night with food poisoning. Outside of that setback, everything else was awesome. The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance for pier 39 shopping, pier 33's Alcatraz ferry, Dylan's Tours (amazing winery tours and more), Joe Dimaggio recreation park, and the Italian district. Not to mention they give a 15% discount card to a number of Pier 39 restaurants.

Front desk staff were slow, not eagerly keen to help and really not welcoming. We wouldn’t stay here again. Smallest bathroom of all the hotels we have ever stayed in. Very loud AC unit that rattled all night. We really struggled to find a way that the hotel was value for money. The one upside was the area did seem Better than some in San Francisco.

It was a very nice two day day, but breakfast had a lot of things on the menu too many to count, but everything was cold and the fruit was not up to good standards for California. Pineapple and cantaloupe were good watermelon strawberries not good all in all the room were nice and clean. The grounds were clean also close to fisherman very convenient San Francisco was very quiet. A lot of restaurant shut down and not open for business quiet this time of year.
