Should close during renovations - Bad Experience

While I informed via email that the restaurant was closed due to renovation, I was not expecting the whole hotel to be turned upside down. There were wooden ramps and a converted guestroom for a lobby (so random to have an old bathroom exposed next to a makeshift snack and beverage table), we were given a room directly next to the public lounge (another converted room) and worst of all, our bathroom shower drain was so clogged the water was up to our ankles while it drained. We also had some trouble getting our door bolt to lock - not very secure for safety reasons. I would not recommend until all of the construction was complete. We tried finding escape by the pool/jacuzzi area, but there were no towels available.

Improvement needed

This WILL BE a very nice property once renovated. The staff at the (makeshift) front desk was very lovely and attentive. I didn't love finding out after I booked and just a few days before arrival that the place was under construction. Also, as a woman traveling alone, didn't love that it was somewhat desolate and there wasn't much around there and no food at the hotel. My room was corner and had amazing views! But one air unit didn't work, the room was either really hot or really cold (the other one worked), the doors to the bathroom, etc. were severely worn, and the deck was so flooded with water I couldn't use it. Also found what I assume was the housekeeper's fake nail on the floor of the bathroom one day which kind of "icked" me out. Again, I think this will be a nice property at one point, but it definitely needs this renovation and attention to detail that is underway.

Location and price were perfect. There was construction going on but they let me know about it up front and it was not an issue. The stay worked out perfectly.

Beautiful location, amazing staff

What a great hotel! Renovations to the lobby did not interfere with my weekend visit at all. Sal at the front desk was welcoming, helpful, and a complete professional. Miriam went the extra mile with delicious coffee and true hospitality. My room was comfortable, huge, and very clean. Best sleep I’ve had in a while, amazing views, what a gem.

Worst experience of my life. The property is located near either an airport or a base so there were jets going by all day and this ridiculous beeping all night, we ended up having to leave a day early because it was so bad. Naturally they were rude and wouldn’t refund us. DO NOT STAY HERE trust me

Very nice stay. The staff is wonderful! There was minor issues with the shower (I could still use it) so I told them about it when I left. I also thought whatever detergent they used when they washed the towels just had a different smell (they seemed clean though). I told the front desk that as well when ai checked out. Rooms were just a little dated but they are doing renovations. It is a great area and overall a very nice stay.

This is our third time staying here. It is a nice hotel. Unfortunately i had called before our stay to make sure the pool was working but they did not mention the restaurant area was being remodeled. And we were excited to have food and drinks there. Overall we love this hotel and we will definitely go back

Nice but disappointed

Our room was fantastic, unfortunately Hotels.com did not mention that the Hotel is under renovation and all amenities were closed, Lobby, Restaurant and Bar were all closed. We had to walk twice as far to get to our room but our room was nice and we made the best of our stay.
