Clean room and accessible to port as we were going on a cruise. Although disappointed with staff as we arrived hour early for check and would not let us check into our room but gave others early check in. First of all, fantastic location. Across the street from the water, another restaurants all around. 5 minute walk to the USS Midway museum. If you like to walk, this is an awesome location. We walked to the Gaslamp, Little Italy, Petco Park, and the convention center. An Uber ride to almost anywhere in town is under $20. It is a full service hotel with three towers. They've got three restaurants, a gym, and pool. Free shuttle to and from the airport (please tip). We've stayed there probably four times and are going to be back in a few months. Love it.

Very welcoming to pets! Very clean room. Very roomy. Staff were very nice also. They do charge a $29 destination fee. That comes with discounts and some perks. Not sure if that was mentioned in the booking but I didn’t mind. Parking is $50 with in and out privileges. There isnt much street parking so we decided to just park inside and not have to deal with finding parking. There is another garage parking by the hotel that’s $25 but no overnight parking so probably best to just park at the hotel. Will definitely stay here again! We loved it.

Rooms were dated; carpeting buckling, drawers that kept opening, old furniture and some blackish soot? near the vent on the ceiling. Housekeeping was great as well as desk staff but it was annoying always being approached to buy a vacation property when we asked for directions or help when the desk staff was busy. The shuttle drivers were great.

Always enjoy our stay at the Bayside. Shout out to Hazelwood. Great place for dining and a quick snack.
