Inappropriate neighborhood

We loved this old authentic beautiful charming hotel! Beautiful neighborhood close to the beach but unfortunately we will not be returning. Im not sure how to word this but the neighborhood is inappropriate for children and me and my wife . It is the epicenter for homosexuality in Puerto Vallarta. There were men barely clothed directly outside the hotel offering services. We spent the first 3 nights of our month long trip here, fortunately we moved 10 minutes north to the Loft Hotel on the Malecon which is a completely different vibe. I dont think I understood the area "Romantica Zone" correctly.

Great service, very friendly staff. Clean hotel - can see the staff cleaning the common areas multiple times a day, room cleaning also great. Staff helped with booking the excursions as well. Shared kitchen was also nice - was able to store food in the fridge and make coffee in the morning

Overall the place was charming, in a great location for those who like to be close to great restaurants, the malacon etc., and good value for the money. It was clean, reasonably comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. However, the pool was not deep enough to swim in - basically just a dipping pool - and while there were umbrellas beside the pool-side lounge chairs, they did not provide adequate protection against the sun for moments when I just wanted to laze around for a bit and read a book. Another minor drawback was the bathroom. First, there was about a 6" step to get into the bathroom, which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Secondly, the water pressure in the shower was so light, it was little more than a sprinkle.

We have been staying here for over a decade. For its price, it has always been a great option. The front desk staff are not as welcoming as they used to be. Used to feel like going to the home away from home. This time we invited artist friends to vacation with us and where told we couldn’t make out art in the hotels common spaces…strange given how much Rodger painted. Still, a good value.

I love their location because it is accessible to all establishments, few steps away from the beach, quiet place, safe surroundings, relaxed environment because of their maintained plants. Thanks for the welcome wine!Made me feel special! If they can just double check the ceiling fan becuse I find it a little noisy and it distructs me from sleeping.The air conditioning unit is not that cold too.Good thing that the weather was cold during my entire visit. I requested for an extra blanket and pillow and they were able to provide it to me on a timely manner! Special mention again to the receptionist Rosie.She made me feel at home during my 6 nights stay! This is my 3rd time to stay on this lovely hotel and I am still going back on my next vacation and create great memories! Gracias!🙂❤️

I love staying at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. They seem to take a lot of pride in keeping their guests happy. The hotel itself is located in a really good area. There are a ton of restaurants nearby that are easily walkable, and the ocean is only two blocks away. I highly recommend this place, in fact, I will be back in two months to stay here again.
