The staff were amazing. The food is what you’d expect at a none 5 star resort. They weee constantly cleaning. The resort is an older resort. Those that complain need to understand this and realize this resort offers.

We did not get the room that we booked. We upgraded to a one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms and seperate beds for our kids and did not get that even though we paid almost $1000 extra for it.

Food and beverage services were excellent. Buffet heavily favoured with Mexican food leaving little choices otherwise. Speciality restaurant was very good. Wifi terrible with no apparent effort to expand it beyond the immediate lobby. Ordering off the menu as part of package discontinued half way through stay. Mgt cutbacks. No food at roof lounge contrary to pictures from website. Website does match reality of what is offered. Great effort from staff to please. Would not return

There was a persistent mildew odour in the room, the bathroom fixtures were well past their ‘best by’ date. The resort wifi was spotty and non-existent in the rooms. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and worked very hard to maintain the facility in a clean state. The food was good, and their special meals were very nice. They had entertainment offered most evenings. The resort activity director was a very outgoing person who was able to motivate people into joining the activities. The sky lounge was a lovely space to spend time around sunset, and the staff up there were very friendly and attentive. The resort was smaller, which was actually a bonus, as you didn’t feel lost in the crowds. It was located near to downtown, so it was easy to explore the area.

When we checked in we didn’t get the king bed room that we had booked. I had my confirmation with me & all they said is that I had to work it out with my travel agency. The female manager who I spoke to was terrible & rude & didn’t even attempt to rectify. We had a small window overlooking a back alley, no patio door, patio or balcony. There were no hooks to even hang our wet bathing suits. I couldn’t believe they wouldn’t even try to offer a different room. Then when we checked out the man at the desk asked how our stay was & when I told him, he said well it’s high season & that happens all the time… I would Never stay here again! And would tell everyone I know to avoid it too!

Things were “ok”. Hot tub was out of order for over a week, only one elevator working and then it stopped for 1/2 day during our stay. Things around the resort feel a bit tired. Many of the staff were awesome.

A plus -Restaurant staff were fantastic! Negatives…. The pool was disgustingly dirty-we didn’t swim after the first day Our room the toilet was leaking and smelled like mold. We switched to a different room. Still mildew smelling but not as strong. Front end staff were grumpy and unwelcoming All in all the hotel is run down. Looks like the plan is to tear it down and make it part of time share which they try and sign you onto right away. We will not return to this hotel

Each room we had reserved had its own quirks. Hotel needs major upgrading. Affordable for what you get. Staff and service was amazing. Spa treatment was amazing. Pool bar closed at 9 which then left the skylounge where no children under 18 were permitted. We were in there one evening and saw 3 children under age of 10. Then we tried to take our child and we were kicked out. Different rules for different people. It was an all round amazing experience and great vacation!

Very outdated, unkempt areas, grounds aren’t kept up. A non smoking resort, yet cigarette butts everywhere. People smoking you mention it to staff they say you have to tell the front staff. Only 1 bar, 1 pool. Beach access is also not private it is public access. The public can also come buy drinks too. Which will get preferential treatment to the people staying there. I would look at other resorts if you can.
