Shuttle - was prompt, driver was friendly and the ride was actually pretty smooth for an airport shuttle. It was fairly beat up but did what is needed and got us to the hotel in 5 minutes. Check in - “Manager” was doing check ins, was rather rude and complaining in front of costumers about costumers. His frustration laid in the fact that he had to do 4 check ins 5 minutes before his shift was over. Too bad, it’s called work for a reason. No free cookies like double tree is supposed to be known for. Guy was just lazy and clearly didn’t care to do his job. Building - kinda beat up and old. Not terrible especially considering the price, but it could definitely use some TLC. Room - seemed clean. Linens and bathroom looked good. Lights were weird, 2 switches next to the door, first was for hall light, it was a very low flickering led that gave next to no light, second switch was for a closet. So you’re walking in dark. Not the best room, not the worst. Security - no security on site that we saw. But access was secure past the lobby as all doors were steel and appeared to close properly. Elevator requires a key card to go up. Room doors were good but throw latch was barley hanging on, handle and throw bolt were both good though. Parking lot it gated with key card entry/exit. However you are at a very exit friendly area, meaning right off two major highways for a quick car thief, as well as a port less than 5 miles away. For the price point I would return.
