Relative to other options in Oxford, this is probably the best hotel by far. Compared to non-Oxford options, it’s good. Clean, quiet, I’d stay here again. The bed could be more comfortable. The pillows were small and so soft you needed at least 2. No amenities in the bathroom, damaged ironing board. The attached restaurant (Pickle and Pig) was excellent.

Nice but not really worth it

This was a lovely hotel and was very close to campus. The bathroom was large and the beds were comfy. That being said, here are the drawbacks. Parking is across the street on the fourth floor of the parking garage (uncovered) and is not included. The water temp was almost impossible to regulate in the shower. The air conditioning was a little noisy (but not horrible). A little bit of street noise. There is no breakfast option though there was coffee/tea in the lobby. We actually stayed in a Hilton further away from campus at a comparable rate for the first half of our trip and preferred that, even with facing the drive to and from campus. I think if I would have had to paid the exhorbitant rates charged during graduation weekend I would not have been so happy. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with The Elms specifically. It just wasn't worth it for us. Though I'm glad we gave it a try and can now say that we actually stayed in Uptown for a visit.

We had a room with 2 Queens and a pullout. And it was very spacious. Would definitely book again. There was a nice counter space with a sink and fridge as well. Location is perfect.

If you have a Miami student and can get a room at the Elms (no small feat), it’s very convenient location. Clean, safe place to stay. Staff, during my last visit, were very pleasant. My room was clean. Beds comfortable. Well appointed amenities - iron, toiletries, WiFi, etc. Unfortunately my room looked out onto another building. Not a problem since I was visiting my daughter, but the two nights that I was there, a trash collector came by early morning for the other building and that woke me both mornings. Otherwise a nice stay.

Excellent hotel for visiting Miami University. It is in the downtown area and walkable to all restaurants, the campus, shopping.
