This is a place with a quaintness and charm to it as you walk up. It was much more fun to stay here than a regular style hotel. The breakfast was perfect for us. Great fruit, pancakes, french toast, sausage, ham and quiche were offered during our stay. The room was very nice, and plenty of hot water in the shower. One quirk is you have to walk down a couple of doors down the street to check . But there is good signage to instruct you. I read in previous reviews about hard beds, well ours was very firm. I would have preferred a bit softer bed, but it was not bad in my book.. to sum it up .. i will stay here again !

I’m really glad I chose this hotel to stay. It’s actually composed of two properties that are not adjacent to each other. The check-in is in one and then my room was just down the walk a little bit. It wasn’t an inconvenience. The location was superb as it was close to many interesting things to see. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. There were pancakes, a quiche, cooked ham, fruit, and other breakfast items. I would definitely stay here again when in Newport.

Nice, clean room in historic house. Breakfast was "mehhh" at best, but it came with the room. I'd suggest bringing your own K-cups for the coffee station- it was nearly all decaf-

It's in a great location within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and shops. I didn't notice a lot of sounds from the street at night. My room was clean and as expected, though I couldn't detect a way to adjust the temperature of my room. Also while the window had blinds, a lot of light still came through in the morning which was not ideal after being up late. All in all, a good spot in downtown. Staff were very helpful!

Very friendly staff, and comfortable bed. TV didn't connect with remote so we had to get up to turn up the volume and turn on the tv, which was a little annoying. Wifi doesn’t work very well, pretty low speed. Breakfast was delicious at hydrangea house (offered on the first day) and just ok in the manor. Overall staff is friendly and I would stay here again for a no frills stay.

Great location! We were in the basement room, which is a little tight, but worked perfect as a little retreat between day trips, and walking to restaurants and bars.
