First night found out the blanket very smelly, change next day still smell. Third night at 4:00am next door women fighting and swearing real loud and sounds like someone threw the luggage down the stairwell. It last about 10 mins and no security or staff showed up or call the police. My wife and I just so frightened inside the room to wait until everything turn quiet. But that’s not end yet, next morning after I took shower and dry my hair and I found a quarter size blonde hairball on my towel ( but we are Asians with black hair), so I brought the towel down to front desk and show to the staff and the answer is the towel had been washed. I told him of course I knew the towel was washed and folded but the hair ball is stick on the towel. I don’t have any more to say, but this is the worst place I ever stay and I travel 3-4 trips every year

The bedding were very smelly. Have to use lavender oil to get the smell out. Flights were broken out nest room but no security or police. It's was four o'clock in the morning didn't get to sleep at all. Very very disappointed with our first time visits especially were here for a wedding

This place was close to the subway into the city as well as the cruise port we needed to go to. Staff were kind. The room was adequate. Good price. Will book again if I need to be in this area. We did not know that room cleaning was only by request.

Comfortable clean hotel located close to Industrial Park and Japanese Village in Brooklyn. Fridge and coffee maker in room. Basic amenities.Friendly front desk staff who arranged for transport to airport. Didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on it.

The Hotel was pretty good, however the location was not so good, located near the expressway and industrial area. We had trouble with our booking, where we had booked one room through Wotif, and the hotel charged us for 2. Whilst we received a refund, we still lost money on the currency conversion. Our room and bathroom was spacious, and the continental breakfast was convenient, as there was nowhere nearby to walk to. The nearest subway station is a 12 minute walk, which is fine during the day, but would not feel comfortable after dark.

The desk staff was a lovely fellow (named Tim) who told us he could not give us the manager's name of contact information and that the manager would contact us within 48 hours. Guess what? We're still waiting for that call. Now, why would I check out early, you might ask: We arrived around 4 PM to find no available parking (there are about 70 rooms and about 25ish parking spots). We were told there was free parking on the street. The street is industrial or partly empty. There was a box factory next door and a boarded-up site across the street. Look at the street and tell me you'd want to park there! We were coming back late each of the nights we stayed there. The L Hotel took no responsibility for what we felt was a bait-and-switch. They said that they told Travelocity about the parking. They used that to say that they would not issue a refund when we checked out early. Seems like a hotel can have VERY FEW parking spots and still show up as having parking on Travelocity. If you don't care about parking: The breakfast was miserable. No fruit, no yogurt, weak coffee, white bread, cheap bagels, corn muffins, cold cereal, no OJ -- apple and cranberry juice cocktail. As others said, the beds (and the pillows) are hard and uncomfortable. There was no clothes storage beyond three hooks on the wall. The bathroom was serviceable with a good shower and good lighting. There was a view of NYC. Not the iconic, beautiful one. But, I saw the Empire State building.
