My first stay because it was close to the Mahalia Jackson theater, but not my last! Despite their computer system being down, this team didn’t skip a beat! They knew how to do it the old fashioned way! Easy check-in and only $20 a day to park in a gated, covered garage. Nice room, comfortable beds and spacious accessible bathroom (my request) next time, I’ll make sure to get a courtyard room and not one on the noisy Rampart St side! One elevator was cranky, but only 3 stories and stairs were handy. Too sleepy for breakfast, but my grandson enjoyed his meal at the complimentary buffet.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days for our anniversary. First of all…you really can’t beat the location. It’s within walking distance to lots the city has to offer. AND it’s within staggering distance from Bourbon St after a night on the town. The hotel room was sufficient for our needs: comfy bed, a multitude of pillows, and a mini fridge. It was room 342 and had a pleasant view of the courtyard. Unfortunately it shared a wall with the back (service) elevator. That thing made all kinds of racket all day and all night long! Sounded like people were clumsily moving furniture at 3am. The breakfast stole the show! One morning they served dirty rice and it was literally the best I’ve ever had. So don’t sleep through breakfast…no matter how bad your hangover. Ultimately we would stay here again…however we will make sure in the future we don’t get a room next to the elevator.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful Some of the best hotel staff we have had The only downside was lukewarm water each morning we took our showers. The hotel was clean. Some things were old and worn but clean. Overall a nice good location and the staff was excellent!!

Parking was just difficult with people aprking on the line and then a pole being on the other side of a spot or two parking on the line leaving no space in between to park even a small car. But i realize there isnt much to be done about that. Other than that everyone was great! And staff was great!!

Fabulous service, Tyron at front desk greeted us every day with a warm smile and friendly conversation. he offered ideas to us when we asked regarding things to do and places to eat at. It was GREAT having a secure parking lot to park our rented car in, gate that opens to parking lot was a bit slow to open though. plenty of towels provided in room, Pool was clean and plenty areas to sit in patio area. Would definitely recommend this hotel. By the way they had one of the best free breakfast buffets, staff that took care of that area did an excellent job with the variety of the food, cleanliness of area and helpful and social.... thanks all!!
