Overall, we enjoyed our two-month stay at the Marcel. The location is excellent, and the apartment is spacious, inviting, and nicely decorated. The beds and sofas were especially comfortable, and the sofa bed offered a quality sleeping experience too.On the downside, the rooftop HVAC was loud, particularly in the early mornings, and it was woke us up between 6:30 and 7 am daily. It took approximately three weeks to resolve the issue!We cooked regularly and to needed to buy some kitchen essentials, including a quality can opener, a sink drain/strainer, pasta bowls, small snack bowls and potholders. A vacuum cleaner and some drawers in the bedrooms or closets would also have been very helpful for a longer-term stay.We loved having the French Quarter and the Mississippi River at our doorstep.
