The hotel is great the staff is wonderful it was really amazing staying in a hotel that’s been there for 150 years I was stunned .

The hotel apparently did not accept the online payment because the name on the card is different from who was checking in and did not advise me until i got here because it was too late I had to use my spending cash to get the room which was a big set back. The staff, whilst not rude, were not friendly either but I feel like that’s the entire culture here. The room had no hot water, during a very cold couple days in Bahamas and also I saw two roaches in it during my stay here. To charge so much money for this place is a crime.

We had originally planned on staying at an Airbnb but didn’t realize how far away we were from the main tourist attractions and what part of the city we were so when we arrived here we were so happy! The staff was welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. They have a parrot Max that they told us has been there since the 90s, was able to get some pets in but he warning he doesn’t like the men very much. The food and happy hour was great as well! Would definitely stay here again if we return to Nassau. Thank you to the staff for taking care of us!
