We decided to pick Baha mar sls for our family trip of 14 people, 10 adults and 4 kids. Prior to arrival, we tried every number we can find and emailed the restaurants to make reservations knowing seating 14 people last minute would be hard but never heard back. The first day we had to order pizza and eat outside. The second day, my mother slipped and fell in the shower, before the water was even turned on. She was taken to the hospital and has two fractures in her ankle and needs surgery. Getting a wheel chair and crutches from the resort took hours and the only thing we got was a case of water and milk for comfort. That evening we went to eat at Cleo, a nice Mediterranean restaurant. Our group is mostly vegetarian except me and my husband. We order the chicken kabob and shatshuka and got food poisoning. We had vomiting and diarrhea all night and the next day. Literally ruined the remainder of the trip because we were too weak to take the kids to the waterpark or beach and slept all day.
Then the first night, the front desk forgot to get a credit card for one of the rooms and called us twice at 11:30 pm after our kids fell asleep. It woke them up and then we had a rough first night.
I’ve stayed at Baha mar grand Hyatt before and had a good experience and convinced my family to come back and try SLS. NEVER AGAIN. I get others may have had a good experience but the service we had was terrible. We even had to wait hours for just extra blankets one night.
