Our stay at the Matrix was relatively comfortable and pleasant. The hotel itself could use some TLC, common areas and hallways etc showing signs of wear. Our room was a decent size for 2 people and the bed was comfortable. One thing we did notice was the noise level in the room; you could hear anyone in the hall and the neighbouring rooms. Overall, it was an easy, comfortable stay and I would stay there again if looking for a mid-price hotel.

We had a small hiccup with our room the first night with there being an issue with cleanliness in the bathroom however when mentioned to the front desk, they were absolutely wonderful to deal with. They went above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every day. Little to my knowledge, my now fiancé was planning to propose and they upgraded our room. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness

Was not greeted kindly at arrival. It set the tone for the remainder of my stay. Room was okay, bed was uncomfortable. The room description said there was a microwave in the room, but there wasn't. Asked for an upgraded room with VIP Access, was told the rooms were available and just needed cleaning. I said I would wait, and the matter was ignored. All round, I don't think I'll book her again.
