Awesome experience at The Birk Hotel

Our recent stay at The Birk Hotel in Montreal was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the professionalism, attentiveness, and warm hospitality of the staff. The Reception, Concierge, and Porter services were exemplary and contributed greatly to a seamless experience. The accommodations were immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The daily provision of complimentary bottled water was a welcome touch that reflected the hotel’s commitment to guest comfort. Overall, our experience was extraordinary, and we look forward to returning. Without hesitation, we will choose The Birk Hotel for our next visit to Canada.

This is a luxury hotel run like a Holiday Inn Express. Had a very pricey room but every day had to call down for at least two things. Coffee. Creams, Facecloths. Robes. A wet floor. Robes again (housekeeping inexplicably removed them one day and when replacements were sent, they were cheap terry waffle robes, not what we had before. When I wrote to the hotel in advance to indicate a special occasion, they responded with a list of things I could buy, not things they could do. A cheap bottle of Prosecco was thrust at me by a housekeeper just after we’d checked in. Complaints fell on deaf ears. Biggest complaint? Noise! Cheap windows. Couldn’t even watch tv due to street noise which they clearly knew of. They should have warned the room was susceptible. I’d gave booked another. Ended around 11pm.

Vraiment super!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et tenons à remercier le personnel pour son accueil chaleureux et sa disponibilité tout au long de notre séjour. La chambre était d'une propreté impeccable, très confortable, et nous avons particulièrement apprécié la qualité du menu au restaurant Henri. L'emplacement idéal de l'hôtel, à proximité des attractions principales, a rendu notre visite très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement cet établissement et espérons y revenir bientôt !"

We stayed at this hotel in Room 306 for 3 days and loved it! The room was spacious and well-appointed. We went to Quebec City and had booked the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth for 3 night when we returned but we loved our stay at Birks so much, we switched hotels for our last 3 nights even though it was more expensive. We were given Room 421 upon our return and, sadly, we were really disappointed. The room was very tired looking and the bathroom shower could use a significant refresh. Half of the holes in the rain shower weren’t working and the handheld shower wouldn’t stay up. The location is excellent, the staff was great, the jewellery store is refined and the rooms on the 3rd floor have incredibly high ceilings and arched windows. We will definitely stay here again but will ask for an updated room on the 3rd or 5th floor.
