Elegant hotel, but service feels amateur Hotel Birks Montreal is a beautiful property with elegant rooms, quality linens, and excellent housekeeping. However, the service felt distinctly amateur for a hotel positioned as five-star. Check-in was slow and disorganized, staff seemed unsure and indifferent, and luggage handling was careless. The room itself was pleasant but missing basic touches like a minibar or proper coffee setup. The property offers good value and strong design, but travelers accustomed to refined, five-star hospitality will find the experience underdeveloped. Beautiful setting — but the service lacks the polish and professionalism the brand aspires to.

Excellent service in a beautiful Hotel. The staff provided a great experience. We did not eat any meals on the property but the hotel was very clean and our room was spacious, quiet and welcoming.
