It was an absolutely dreamy hotel. The staff was incredible and kind. The free breakfast was outstanding, much better than any free hotel breakfast in the states. The bed was so soft and comfortable and the shower was glorious! I will absolutely be back!

Most helpful, but watch out road construction

Excellent location. The most friendly and helpful staff ever. There are 3 steps going into the hotel if you are mobility challenged, but good elevator once in. The breakfast area is also down some steps. Getting there was an issue because taxi and uber can't drive within blocks of this hotel due to road renovation. Have to drag your luggage over pads, steel pads, and gravel to get to the hotel. The hotel does have a taxi service that will come get your luggage and help you get to the taxi but we didn't know that and had used Uber. They just dropped us off and told us where to go!! The sidewalk changed daily depending on construction--not much safety so I had to laugh because no way OSHA in US would approve the construction sites. They are digging around historic building so slow going, but not good for mobility challenged old people. Location in old quebec is excellent however. Loved this hotel and would stay here again. Homemade local breads and croissants for breakfast. Coffee, expresso, cappachinos, or hot chocolate included!!

When a reservation is not a reservation.

The street and sidewalk in front of the hotel for several blocks was torn up due to heavy construction, making it nearly impossible to drag our luggage to the entrance to the hotel. When we finally got there, we were told our room was unavailable and that they had arranged for us to stay at a different hotel. The front desk staff was helpful in arranging a cab (at the hotel's expense) and helping to get our bags back to where the cab could pick up up, but I would not recommend trying to stay at this hotel until construction is completed, which could take a year or longer. We were taken to a very nice hotel in a different area of town.

Great stay, very comfortable room, and location was amazing, so much in walking distance. The road out front was under construction which was a pain, but not too bad and might be fixed by now.. Included breakfast was nothing special. Would stay again

As much as i enjoyed my stay because of other factors like the great weather, the beautiful shops and the whole european like atmosphere that surrounds the place, i was disappointed that the hotel did not even mention the construction on their website. I liked the hotel regardless, as i was looking for a cozy boutique hotel, abd Le Petit Hotel, was exactly that. I think they could at least offer a discount; it won't harm the business at all.

I first stayed at this hotel when they had first opened and New York Times had listed them as a place to stay! (About 15 years ago) It is exactly as I remember it! The perfect hotel for me, in the best area of town, convenient, charming, -Old Montréal however needs to get its act together and clean up the walk along the river. Petit Hotel is a hidden Gem and deserves to be in a clean city! I love Petit Hotel-

This is a really great hotel in the perfect location. Close to restaurants and attractions, all in walking distance. Road construction out the front doesn’t allow transport at the moment so you have to drag your luggage about a block, but that’s not the hotel‘s fault. The hotel did ring me in advance and let me know that, which was much appreciated. I’m sure it’ll be great when it’s done. If you like to sleep in this is probably not the best spot for you at the moment as construction machines started about 7:30 am. I really like this hotel and would have no hesitation of staying again. Free coffee and breakfast is a big plus.

Our room was great, but if you're a light sleeper, I’d recommend requesting a room on the upper floors. The cleaning service parked their trolley right outside our door every morning, which caused quite a bit of noise. The hotel’s location was excellent, though ongoing construction outside made Uber pickups slightly inconvenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast options were decent, but they ran out of many items on two of the three mornings we were there. That said, the 24/7 coffee was a fantastic perk, and the staff was always happy to prepare a fresh cup whenever we asked—day or night! Overall, this hotel is a good pick if you want to stay close to old Montreal.

The extra large room was very nice, shower is amazing and the cleaning service was excellent. It missed the mark on convenience and inaccessibility! There were at least 8 steps to get up to our extra large room. Every time we entered and left the room, we had 8 steps. For senior citizens and disabled adults this is impossible and it is not advertised in their description of the room. The dining room for breakfast had 5 steps to get to it and then if you wanted coffee, you had to go up 5 steps for the coffee. Again for someone with mobility issues, this doesn't work well. The outside road construction was super annoying and we had water turned off for 6 hours. While the hotel rooms are very nice the location is great, these things take away from its charm.
