My new favorite inn in Monterey.
Everywhere in the Colton Inn is spotless, even the parking lot. Checking in was a bit odd; I arrived 20 min before 3pm. The receptionist took my info, told me my room number, then said 'the system wouldn't let him check me in. that I needed to return after 3pm'. This is a first in my long life, but fine. Lots to do in Monterey. My room was perfect. Breakfast was substancial, the room is very pleasant. All perfectly clean and neat. The inn was very quiet during my stay, even when the parking lot was almost full. Lots of parking spaces, half covered. Very convenient to downtown Monterey, but super quiet.
