The property was perfect for what we went for, the rooms are a bit tight but we really only needed them to sleep and shower so they were fine, clean and safe. The hotel staff was amazing, so kind and informative. Demetrius was a great help with any questions we had, things to do in the are etc., also Charlie really made our experience so much better. The location is perfect, everything you need is walkable. Would highly recommend!

My key card wouldnt work at 1st. Up and down 3 times before rhe front desk said let me get my mangwr to let you in with hi "MASTER" key. No secondary locks on the doors...nevertheless we slept wth our suitcases lined up to the door. Oh, and the BACON B restaurant on their property should be stated when you make the reservations. Not a family oriented hotel.

The overall stay was fine. The location is excellent. We did have some issues with the hot water in the shower and access to the swimming pool across the street at Clevelander.

Rooms were outdated, no refrigerator, very noisy. Property need a lot of upgrades. Stairs had a really dirty carpet. Small elevator. Facility looked more like a motel than a hotel. However the Staff were wonderful. Very accommodating.

Great location to South Beach and Staff is very nice. Unfortunately the street noise is overbearing and the property has old windows so noise absorbtion is minimal. Room floors were extremely dirty, likely not a priority to clean. Toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall. Not sure if regular inspections and maintenance is a priority either.

Loved the location. Walking distance to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and nightlife within walking distance. Also loved that the hotel is older but in decent shape. Great service from the front desk. Friendly associates.

Overall very happy

Overall, very happy with our hotel stay. Only minor issues. First, the hotel lobby smelled musty. Second, the ice machine was out of service. Room was clean, modern. AC worked wonderful. Staff very friendly and respectful. I have stayed at the Essex House in the past and will continue to stay in the future.
