We arrived at the property to find boarded up windows that looked to be due to a fire. There were homeless people sleeping in front of the building and loitering in the parking lot. I understand this is a downtown area but the lot was not secured by gates nor monitored by security. The room was dirty and there were visible stains on the bedding. I understand that doesn't mean the linens weren't clean however, I don't believe the hotel should use them with visible stains. Unfortunately this was a non-refundable stay. We quickly booked another room at a nearby hotel and tried to at least get a refund for 1 night due to the hotel conditions. The front desk employee told us, no problem getting the 1 night refund but we had to contact Expedia. Expedia claims the manager at the hotel will not refund 1 of the nights per policy. I would not recommend a stay here.

The room was clean and everything was in working order. Just a 1/4 mile walk to the Yum center. Pleanty of restaurants and bars with in walking distance. The people at the front desk were very helpful and nice. Coming down one flight of stairs, and room was boarded up. A little unsettling.You see a lot of homeless people on the way to the Yum center and wonder if you are safe. Even if you were stay at one of the swanky Hotels, you would see the same thing. You could hear the plane traffic either taking off or coming in for a landing over the hotel. All in all, I would recommend and we would definitely stay again.

My only concern was the bath tub was slick and there were no supports to hold on to while entering or exiting the shower. Other than that, everything was as one would expect at this price range. I would certainly stay here again.

Affordable downtown, minimal service

Neutral: -Room doors are outdoors -require payment of $100 deposit before stay -require $5 parking fee per vehicle, however have multiple signs indicating they do not watch or have responsibility for your vehicle or things while parked there -minimal breakfast offerings, two cereals, two muffin types, bagels, bread, strawberry banana yogurt, milk, butter, jam, pancake machine, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, whole apples. No vegan options, only protein option is yogurt. -a bit of a language barrier between myself and staff could make communication a bit difficult at times Positive: -staff at the counter quickly whenever I needed -affordable stay compared to others nearby -offers free breakfast -nicer inside the room than the outside made me think it may be -clean towels -received room service first day -the male evening staff was very kind and accommodating with every interaction Negatives: -my room was not recently deep cleaned, multiple stains on the walls, headboard, door, walls, mirror, etc. -sheets were okay, some discoloration and small moth like holes -room smelled like smoke -sofa chair had a rip in the seat and was visibly worn/dirty -was questioned turse-ly on why I wanted a second blanket by staff, then didn’t get one -phone in the room didn’t work, nor did some light switches -very bright parking lot with curtains and door facing it that didn’t fully block out the light -breakfast is ‘done in only’ and they won’t allow you to take any to rooms

Good place to stay

Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the heart of downtown so the surroundings were not glamorous but the property looked good. Service was friendly and efficient.

Needed a quick, budget friendly stay and this was exactly it. The room was actually really clean, comfortable bed/pillows, good water pressure, plenty of parking and only for $5 which is pretty cheap for being downtown. Very conveniently located next to food, convenient stores, and highway.

Nope!

Please save your time and money. I don’t normally complain about hotels but this one was just unacceptable. One person running the front desk and breakfast and watching his kid all at the same time, he could not keep breakfast stocked and I left starving. The ice machine is boarded up and pad locked. There was hair on our “clean” towels. Room was run down and the ceiling was bowing. Too many things to list here. I requested a refund for my one night and the owner refused. They aren’t concerned about customer satisfaction.
