My family stayed in Galt house between Dec 11-Dec 13, room 349 of East Tower for my son had a voleyball tournament at Louisville and Galt House is the designated hotel for MOD club. We first were assigned to room 702 of west tower. But the sofa bed was broken. So we were re-assigned to room 349 of East Tower in the evening. My son wore a brand new pair of sneakers (Asics nimbus 27, size 8, Pure Aqua/White). He took them off and placed in the closet of living room (of 349 of East Tower) and wore slippers to the tournament sites during the stay. He forgot to pack it when we left hotel on Dec 13 since he had games on that morning. We found out this when we got home on Dec 13 and called the hotel about this incident. We also filed an incident report. However we haven’t heard from hotel about the results yet, it’s concerning to us.

I stayed on thanksgiving night. So it was sort of limited on service, and I was not informed at the front if anything in the hotel was open at all. But I did get a free upgrade to a suite! It was lovely! I would have liked to have a more comfortable blanket and pillows. But everything else was great.

The hotel's location is excellent. The hotel doesn't have parking, but the city offers a parking option that is not expensive (it's $ 30 if you self-park). The room was spacious, and the view was phenomenal of the river. We attended an event, and everything went smoothly. We didn't have breakfast, but it seems they had a lot of options.

The bathroom could use a deep clean around baseboards & toliet. Room was very plain. Guess you get what you pay for. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly. Always enjoy the stay here.

The room was clean and nice, but had a strong musty smell when you walked in. All the hallways and the lobby had a very strong perfumy fragrance that was piped in. That might be an issue for people who are sensitive to smell.

Check in was a breeze, staff was kind and stay was fine. Our room was spacious, lots of closet space, bathroom large and overall mostly clean. Furniture is not comfortable and ventilation was loud and annoying, sooooooo sooooo so much noise pollution from draining water above to thumping music until midnight or so - mattress was old and way too soft - not a fan of $30.00 overnight self park with one tiny elevator to/from, hotel was packed and kids were literally EVERYWHERE and elevators were the biggest issue

Rooms were very clean. They have a good selection of restaurants within the hotel. Wish there was more vending machine options, on each floor, the only vendind drink machine i found on floor 20 in the west wing stsyed out of order the whole weekend, so there for to get a cold bottle of water or a drink i had to go doen to the third floor and to the Starbucks. They had a good variety of snack options along with what starbuckshas to offer, however it would have bern more convenient if i could have gotten a simple bag of chip, candybar, and a nice cold bottle of water. Also most hotels ive been to offer a free complimentary breakfast, and also most hotel's ive been to offer a free complimentary bottle of water when you arrive. Coffee in the rooms, you have to pay for and the bottke of water isnt complimentary if it cost $7.00. Water should be free if its complimantary...
