We really enjoyed our stay at Playa Grande. The location of the resort was perfect for us .. close to the marina and downtown and right on the beach. Keep in mind you can't swim in the ocean there however there's a really nice public beach a 10 minute walk away. Our suite was very nice, the kitchen well equipped and overall very clean. The resort has several pools to choose from so they were never crowded and we generally had no difficulty finding a lounger even if we weren't there first thing in the morning. The only minor issue was the suite we booked was not ready the day we arrived .. they put us in a different room for one night and then moved everything over for us the following afternoon. It was a minor inconvenience. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful resort and the food options were excellent too, ranging from delicious poolside service to formal three course dinners. We stayed all inclusive for four nights. The resort was close to the marina and there were plenty of activities to do both on and around the resort.

The grounds are very pretty and I love the number and quality of the pools. I didn’t like that check in took a very long time. It took the hotel clerk about 20 mins to check us in between answering calls and speaking to staff around her. We walked down to Grand Solmar for breakfast on the last day and the humpback whales were active. It was amazing to see while eating a delicious breakfast there.

The property was pristine, and well kept. The only thing we didn't like was the food prices on property like breakfast for 2 over $80. Their restaurants weren't busy. They should notice that. After the first day we walked into town to eat. Also unlike other resorts we had stayed at in Mexico there was no entertainment.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort! The room was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. The resort itself boasts beautiful pools and excellent restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Plus, the resort's location is perfect, within walking distance of downtown and the marina. The staff are extremely helpful and generous. The adults only pool and swim up bar are lovely. Lots of activities for kids and adults alike.

We stayed with our family and a toddler. The staff was rude and had no interest in there job. Only people trying to work or knew their job were BELL BOYS. Never staying there again. Wait time for food is like an hour.

Very nice room with plenty of room. Two baths were nice. The cleaning ladies did a great job of keeping the room clean. The room had a great view of the marina. We did not like the noise of the bars/night club which played very loud music to around 12:00. The property is large and very spread out requiring lots of walking to do all activities. During breakfast, the sparrows often picked food from the spoons people were using. Very good overall with lots of pluses.

Fabulous Resort

This is a lovely, fun resort...beautiful design with many pools, flower gardens and great food and drinks, super personnel. Handicapped should be aware that this is hilly and there are paved pathways if you can't manage the many stairs with no railings. Also most rooms only have a shower in a 2 foot deep Jacuzzi that you access by climbing two marble steps up and then stepping down 2 feet into tub (no steps down)..not easy or safe. Request the room with a walk-in shower. FYI, you can rent a scooter from Mexico Mobility if you need one. I wish the front desk had told me that when I checked in. But, I had a wonderful time and would come again

I like the location but the property needs to have the rooms updated. We have been coming to Playa Grande for many years, but the property is slowing declining in condition.
