We were really disappointed with our stay. The ship itself is interesting and nicely decorated for the holidays, but several issues made our experience uncomfortable.
Of note:
-The ship is extremely large. If you have limited mobility or a medical condition that makes walking difficult, be aware that getting around can be physically taxing.
-At check-in, we were given a key to a non-existent room. After walking the entire M floor, we returned to the front desk. Three staff members insisted the room existed before finally correcting it. Staff should be familiar with their own room layout.
-The bathroom was so old that it didn't appear to be clean. To be expected with such an old ship, but something to keep in mind.
-As noted, THE WALLS ARE UNBELIEVABLY THIN. We heard every conversation, including explicit activity from the guests next door, from 12-2am, which frankly traumatized my 15-year-old daughter.
-The front desk was non-responsive to the noise issue. After unsuccessfully attempting to resolve it ourselves, we ultimately left at 230am to stay elsewhere.
-Finding the ship and parking was strange. Be cautious if you tend to get lost or easily confused.
Unfortunately, this experience has tainted my daughter’s impression of the ship, and she is unlikely to return.
I recommend not staying there overnight and finding another hotel in the area. I can't speak to the tours as I'm sure they are lovely, and that's the only reason I would return.
