My 1 night stay

You cannot control your own temperature in the room. The ship is old, but very clean. The food on board is very good and the pricing is about average. The ship has a lot of history; and I guess that’s the best way to describe the ship… History!

This property is a dump! Maintenance is lousy. Despite advertising to the contrary, the room had no Wi-Fi, and hidden fees nearly doubled the price of the room. This was like bait and switch! Terrible experience! Never go back!

Loved My Stay!

Loved my stay at the Queen!! Solo trip - enjoyed the breakfast buffet and then dinner at the Chelsea. My room was a deluxe harbor view, which was awesome! found out from paging through the books in the shops that I was placed in one of the haunted rooms - so I slept with the lights AND the tv on (with one eye open! lol). Loved the exhibitions that were available and I took the history tour as well as a paranormal walking tour - both were fantastic! It was the opening night of Dark Harbors. I did not attend because there was a ticket price and I'm not a haunted maze/house type of person. Would definitely stay again! Thanks to the front desk people, Hilario and Mary Jane in the restaurants and my tour guides, David and the nice lady with a long ponytail and glasses. Just a wonderful time! Great memories made!

The property was stunning and our stay was excellent. But we did encounter one problem with the staff at the end of our stay. We did not like how we were treated along with other guests when leaving. We scheduled a bell hop to get our bags and take us to the cruise terminal as many other guests did as well. Our bell hop came as scheduled and got our bags and took us down to the area to wait for the golf carts to transport us to the terminal. There was a line which was no problem and we made our way and got in the line leaving our luggage to the side as instructed as the line started moving we got our luggage and was told hold on there guests are next cutting the line by several guests. When asked why we were originally told that guests are taken to the cruise terminal as they are brought down. Which was obviously not the case there was a line and there was only 2 golf carts taking guests. So as we were told we got our luggage proceeded to move up and the guests who were brought down got extremely rude and said hey we paid to be next so you need to step back. As all the guests who had been waiting were over looked and these guests were taken. The manager of the bell hops said oh sorry that’s how this works gets out checked out luggage brought down by the bell hops and immediately taken. Definitely not the case since it was now after 10 and we had gotten there around 8:45. They allowed guests to wait while the took guests who paid to cut the line go first and was very rude.

Just got back from a very short trip on the Queen Mary, and I can’t wait to go back. At first, I was a little hesitant because I knew the facilities would be a little outdated. However, the beauty and charm of the ship will quickly make you fall in love. I did come with a group of friends and they were very interested in the paranormal stories and activity. So that aspect of the trip was pretty fun too. Our room was nice, but it was a little warm, but when we asked for a fan, it arrived very quickly. The staff was amazing all the way from the guy pressure washing the deck to the housekeeping all the way to the people walking around in suits with their name tags looking very professional. Our waitress Megan was so sweet and accommodating, the housekeeper who was cleaning B340 when we walked past, was so sweet. There was a very kind gentleman with long braids, checking hotel cards as well as working in the dark Harbor and Queen Mary gift shop, who was extremely sweet. I wish I could remember everyone’s names, and give them all credit, but I don’t think there was a rude employee there. I would definitely recommend going in the fall or the winter when it’s a bit cooler. Enjoy just walking around the ship and taking in all of the history. Take a tour. The ship is 91 years old! Enjoy!

I know it's supposed to be a historic boat and all, but come on, they need to get new mattresses. We woke up sore from the old metal spring mattress. It was noisy and uncomfortable.

Staying at the Hotel Queen Mary is an amazing and very enjoyable experience that is completely unique thanks to the history, design, artwork and location of this world famous Ocean Liner. Everyone we met was very friendly and well informed about the historical aspects of this iconic ship.

The Queen Mary is an exceptional example of history and my husband was over the moon excited when he found out we were spending a night on board! Right now, we are enjoying adult beverages in a secret speak-easy (don’t tell anyone I said anything!😉) and planning the rest of our evening.
