It’s a sweet little hotel and a great spot for shopping. It’s walkable too many great restaurants, etc. I was charged for something at the minibar, but I never touched the minibar. Luckily, they reverse the charge, but I had to argue it for a while. Also, I had a do not disturb on the door and asked the cleaners not to come in until I left, but they kept trying to push their way in and woke me up. Hopefully, next time that won’t happen.

This is a chic and well-designed hotel in a great location, very walkable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. I've stayed here multiple times and always had a great stay.

Wonderful stay, fantastic food!

Rooms were very nice, great atmosphere, very accommodating. Loved it and would absolutely come back! Also, the hotel restaurant was AMAZING!!!! So freakin good, we should have eaten there every night! The staff was wonderful, service was great, and food was excellent! Also being close to the farmers market was amazing, loved the location.

We've stayed at Short Stories several times. In all these stays, I've never once been disturbed by a neighbor during the night. The staff is wonderful; helpful and friendly. They even baked cookies for my wife's birthday.

Such a great hotel and location! The hotel is beautiful. The customer service is nothing short of stellar! Our room was so clean, quiet and precise. I highly recommend staying here.

A little disappointed this time

This is our second stay here. I don't know what was wrong with the bed but the mattress was so bouncy that when your partner turned over you woke up from being bounced. It was not like this in the first room we had from our last stay. Also, the corners of the platform the mattress was on stuck out so far that we kept hitting our shins, it was painful! One last thing, the fan was not able to be turned off on the heater so it was on all night and was either too cold or too hot. My husband couldn't sleep with the constant sound of the fan. We were able to put it on low, but it was on whether the room was being heated or not. It was disappointing. Also, the coffee they put out in pump pots in the morning was not hot, barely warm. We were told the coffee would be put out at 7:30 a.m.. It was there at 7:15 a.m. and was already luke warm. This was a totally different experience we had than the first time we stayed here. I have to say the parking attendant was amazing, as he was the firist time here and so was their maintenance man. He did not speak English, but he was super friendly and was really sweet about it when I tried to speak some Spanish to him. He was the same exact way the last time here. He's a super guy! The woman at the front desk was very helpful and nice, too.

I like the uniqueness of the property (very nice courtyard), the proximity to the Grove and Farmers market, and the offer of sparkling water when I arrived (such a nice, simple gesture!) but the parking was a hassle and the road noise( a fact of life in the big city) was a turn-off
