Amazing hotel with amazing staff. Swimming pool very busy due to half term and sadly families not respecting the swimming lane which I would expect life guard to enforce but way too busy for him….but otherwise amazing

Recovered from a bad start to excel
We discovered once into our room that the bed was not a king size bed as booked so went downstairs to ask why. The initial response was that the bed was as booked but measurements prices otherwise. I spoke to Quentin the manager on duty and he was amazing. He apologised for the mistake and moves us to another room, bigger room, and provided a drink voucher each and breakfast. This was over and above what I was expecting as just the change in room would have been enough… Quentin went over and above what was even anticipated and showed world class customer service. The hotel itself was very good. Well positioned next to Tower Hill tube station and easy transition down to the Thames Walk. Pool and spa facilities were very nice (Sunday mornings very busy so get in there early when it opens at 7am) and breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, omelette station and lots of fresh fruit etc. Would definitely stay again 😁

Great Stay, Smug Spa Receptionist, One Poor Meal!
We booked to stay at the hotel again as we have enjoyed it in the past. I checked-in on-line which was easy following an email sent to me. When we arrived we were greeted very kindly by the receptionist who greeted us with warmth & care asking a little about our travels & have we stayed with them before. This was followed by the receptionist advising bus that we were being given a complimentary upgrade & that as a past regular guest we were given 2 complimentary drinks which was a lovely touch. We went to our room which was very clean, spacious & spacey. To our surprise we also had a complimentary bottle of red wine bought up to us with bottles of mineral water. Again what a lovely touch. Our view on staying before was stunning overlooking the Thames & London Bridge, but we were on the other side of the hotel. It wasn’t to much of a problem as we were only staying one night. We made our way down to the spa to talk about the possibility of becoming 2 treatments. I had tied to do this days before but I wasn’t able to get what availability there was as there seemed to be a problem with the booking system. I spoke with the receptionist & explained this & was told quite smarmy.. we are fully booked & you should have booked them days ago, This followed with a false smile. We later used the spa facilities which were nice, managed to get a late check-out. We took advantage of the 20%dine in offer on food having room service. Unfortunately my daughter was poorly later

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel, first time staying on the 1st floor. The room was very dark, tired, not very clean. I think these rooms are in definite need of a refurb.
