Relaxing and peaceful location. Very good restaurant but appear to have a lot of casual staff who are not always familiar with the routines.

This was our second trip to the Lodge and we were hoping for improvement on our last visit. We were not disappointed, the staff there now were much better than the last time we visited, however, the room could only be described as basic, which was unfortunate at $270 per night. There was a bed (good start), a couple of chairs and basic kitchen with a kettle. The bathroom was clean but the water pressure in the shower amazed me. Most showers run at 9 liters a minute, this one ran at 9 drops per minute. The restaurant was a whole other experience. Meals were very expensive and not cooked to the level you would expect in this price range. My wife and I ordered steaks, sirloin with a red wine jus and an eye fillet with a Béarnaise sauce. Interestingly the sauces looked and tasted the same, maybe this was because they had been sitting under lamps for a while and the skin that had formed had something to do with it. We didn`t stay for dessert.
