Liked that our bungalow was right near the water, that there was a gas fire for the chilly evening and that we had cosy gowns and slippers. My daughter (21 yrs old) particularly liked the spa. The staff were warm and attentive. With only one night, we did two walks Pumphouse around the lake, about 2 hours return - and Watersmeet/Platypus Cove, about 1 hour return - which we did early in the morning and I'd strongly recommend. Love the beauty, tranquility and remoteness of Lake St Clair Lodge and hope to return there in the future.

The environment is superb. Saved us. It was very disappointing to not have available fresh fruit from Tasmania in the middle of harvest for berries and stone fruit. Instead an over-sweet fruit salad 'Made in the Republic of China'!!!!!! And morsels of packaged jam not made in Tasmania. Hypocritical statements about caring. Told the ELECTRIC barbecues were not to be used because of Total Fire Ban (before someone else checked). The no dollars coins available to operate them. (Please, empty the machine...) Then, no plates or cutlery in the unit to eat from, after being told before arriving of the opportunity to use the barbecues. The pub has great meals. The environment is great. The management are not offering a standard of service and facility expected for the status and cost. Only a small extra imagination and effort would do wonders.

Very overpriced for what you got. Original cabins in urgent need of maintenance despite the top dollar people are expected to pay

Restaurant service was very friendly and food was very yummy. Cabin was nice and clean. Only downfall was the fan in the bedroom wasn’t working and that made it way to hot and uncomfortable to sleep having heater underneath room area.

It tock 40 minutes to be checked into the motel which was not acceptable. The problem was caused by insufficient number of staff at the front desk.
