I stayed two nights at the Kingston Marriott, spending over $600, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, my partner and I were told the only charge that day would be a $50 incidental hold, with the room charged at checkout. Instead, they charged me $507.98 upfront. When I showed proof, staff insisted I was wrong. The manager eventually admitted the mistake and said no more authorizations would happen — yet the next morning at 5 a.m., I got two new attempted charges ($73.38 and $93.55). At checkout, they tried to charge me another $600 and claimed the first $507.98 would refund in 10–15 business days. So they were essentially holding over $1,100 for a two-night stay. The hotel itself was also terrible. Our TV didn’t work, the shower door was misaligned, we didn’t have towels at check-in, Wi-Fi wasn’t free unless booked through Marriott, and one elevator was broken — the other slow and loud, taking 10 minutes to get from the 4th floor to the lobby. Rooms don’t include a safe, microwave, or real fridge, despite the high prices. To top it off, I was charged $70 + tax for parking even though I never parked overnight — just a few hours, during which their machines malfunctioned and non-guests parked free. The garage was unsafe and poorly managed. I left angry, frustrated, and worried about more surprise charges. This hotel is completely disorganized, poorly managed, and not remotely worth the money. Avoid it at all costs.

Very convenient location, room is big and clean, but the a/c is a bit noisy. There is a limited selection for the free breakfast unless you pay out of pocket. Parking is quite expensive, around $35 per day.

Construction in underground parking has noise from jackhammers reverberating throughout the hotel on a daily basis. Our room was located on the 4th floor and it sounded like the drilling was coming from all around us.

The location is great. The hotel was quite nice but very overpriced. Wifi was not included, neither was parking. The room had two double beds but there was a fee for a third person. For the amount we paid I definitely expected more.
