The 1st room they gave us wasn't cleaned, bed just slept in. Manager checked 3 other rooms before finding a "clean" room. Bathroom was disgusting. If we hadn't been exhausted from a 12 hour ride we wouldn't have stayed there. Thankfully we had clean blankets in our car which we used to sleep on. Absolutely the worst hotel we ever stayed in for over 20 yrs. Tv in an empty room next to us was blaring all night as well. We should have slept in the car. Don't go to this hotel. We'd rate it a negative -10.

The rooms were dirty, then upon check-in the manager informed me and the guests I. Front of me that he is charging $20 dollars more for every person over 1. So we turned our keys in and booked a better hotel. The manager was of no help and the rooms were terribly dirt. We have pictures to prove it!!!

Manager is disrespectful... I booked a king size, I got put in a dirty ass queen, I was told just to leave if I didn't like it, was told there was no more kings, after complaining to house keeping about the trifling bathroom, all of a sudden a king with a clean bathroom was available

Absolutely disgusting , pubes in the tubs , blood on the beds , dirt all over the walls , found a chewd up gum on the bathroom sink . Holes in the wall.. it was awful . I am pretty sure this is a scam . You book the hotel don’t stay and they keep your money

First red flag was the exterior looked in disrepair, and when we tried to check in the lobby door was locked! A phone number taped to the door said to call, and when we did were told it would be a 20 minute wait to get inside. I had made reservations in advance with Hotels.com, and this was starting to look like a shady deal. When we finally gained enterence, the check in clerk (most likely the owner/maid/maintenance guy) required a $10 CASH payment in addition to my pre-paid amount, for booking through a 3rd party!!! That is insane, I've stayed in hotels world wide and this policy does not exist in any manner....anywhere. The room was dirty, filthy carpet & bathroom and did NOT have a coffee maker or microwave....and it was a SUITE! For crying out loud, this was Hotel Hell come to life. No lobby coffee or breakfast whatsoever. The irony was not lost because we were surrounded by good hotels within walking distance. DO NOT book this place, it should be fumigated and permanently closed.

Filthy, unsanitary, broken door locks, extremely rude and aggressive owner operator, I paid in full for a room online and when I arrived the owner wouldn't give me my room unless I paid him in cash and additional 180 dollars for which I was not given a reason for, not was it put into the system or receipts given, he put in his pocket. Stole my money after I paid in full online and even showed him all my confirmation information. WORST EXPERIENCE AND HOTEL IVE EVER STAYED IN IN MY LIFE!!!

The staff at the Countryside Suites in Independence MO were very polite but there was a $30 fee, collected before you're allowed to check in, for booking using a 3rd party and the room wasn't worth the money spent.

Although we paid fully online and disclosed all guest through Expedia, guys at desk/ owner was rude and claimed Expedia did not communicate that to him so we had to pay an extra $40 cash plus $100 deposit per room (we reserved 2 rooms) at check in, says he does this at all 19 of his hotels. The rooms we not in great shape smelled bad stains on the bedding, the overflow valve was dangling open exposing a huge hole in the tub. TVs didn't work, 1 room had no fridge or microwave the other only had a fridge. Although it was non smoking hotel could smell people smoking either in a room next to or below us and sounded like we were above a laundry room that was constantly doing laundry all night stuck on a spin cycle. Dirty laundry and bags of trash was left in most corners of the halls.

Worst experience with how dirty this place was

The front desk agent showed me 5 different rooms before assigning one to me since they were all in bad conditions. They were all dirty, smelled like pee, there was a lot of insecuirty of people outside drinking standing outside the room doors. The carpets smelled like they had been peed on and the blankets seemed like they had not been washed with yellow stains. It was horrible, I did not end up staying and had to look for another hotel.
