This property is located on a hillside overlooking a valley with mountain views, and has privately owned and rentable rooms and cabins, and a central restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful, but overall we felt it was pricey, and not value for money. We also are of the opinion that their website does not make it clear (or clear enough) that the property is located 45km from the town of Jasper, and is absolutely not in the town of Jasper. Perhaps this may not deliberate.

Spectacular spot!

This place is a gem! We stayed in a mountain view room in the main building. The view was incredible, the building is rustic and very historic feeling, it is a lodge afterall. The bathroom is very clean, and great hot water! We enjoyed dinner at the Stone Peak restaurant. It was delicious and so beautifully presented. The serving staff were very nice and attentive. And the view was amazing from any spot in the restaurant. Thank you to all at The Overlander, we really enjoyed our visit.

Room was okay but boiling hot at night even with the ceiling fan and small little fan they have for you. The bed was also not comfy. Views are good but they don’t have much food options or things to do. Not worth the price.

This was our second time at the Overlander. I booked two rooms, that were both the same price. When we checked in one had a balcony and the other didn’t. I wish we would have known that a balcony room was available as we both would have liked to have one, not just one of us. The next time we come we will be sure to confirm which room we will be getting so we have a balcony and the beautiful view for the same cost.
